Rayong Immigration Office

Featured Replies

Just come across this mention on their website of a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a new office, which took place in March 2023! All seems to have gone quiet on this front since then.

With all the construction of local roads and land especially around the Immigration area the construction of a new office may have been postponed.

They need a new office. The one they have now is way to small. I wonder where it will be. Lots of construction in the area.

My money is on over the road from where the current office is located, on what passes as the office car park. The huge mounds of earth I observed there when obtaining my latest retirement extension a few weeks ago might have something to do with it.

@Maestro @DrJack54 Are records of immigration office relocations such as this one still being maintained somewhere?

The immigration Bureau used to have and probably still has a complete and updated list of all immigration offices on its website. I don't have the URL of the corresponding page at hand at the moment.

Some immigration offices make an effort to list their offices on Google Maps.

In addition, every user of Google Maps has the opportunity to put a place on the map and to update a location.

I suggest that when you add or update an immigration office, use the name exactly as it appears on the building. Upload also a photo or two; Google will appreciate it an give you some brownie points for it.

Now another interesting point. Just like with restaurants, hotels and other places, you can give a rating to an immigration office (1 to 5 stars) and post a comment. Take care not to post any defamatory statement (but if an official makes your life difficult with requests that are clearly in violation of immigration laws and regulations, perhaps after checking it on our visa forum, feel free to mention it calmly, unemotionally). Often, the absence of any comment at all speaks for itself.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place
