A small plane crashed near Wat Khao Din in Chachoengsao on August 22, with wreckage found deep in a mangrove. Rescue teams have yet to find survivors, though clothing and a bag suggest a pilot and foreign woman may have been on board. Authorities continue searching the fuel-leaking area.

I imagine that it flew into a thunder storm and came apart. Flying any light ish aircraft in Thailand is inherently risky. The weather at this time of the year is unpredictable and can be extremely dangerous.
