BBC Chairman Calls For a Thorough Review of Israel-Hamas War Bias
It's no surprise that a leftist organization like the BBC would be pro Palestine. Let them do their little investigation. Let them pay lip service. Nothing will change. It needs to be defunded. There's a cost of living crisis, people have other things to spend money on other than this state funded leftist propaganda machine. -

Worst Joke Ever 2024
As I knelt down with a pair of size 4 shoes in front of this sexy blonde in a short skirt, I couldn't resist a quick glance at her knickers. " Hey cheeky," She said, as she gave me a playful kick. "I bet the only reason you work here is to look up girls skirts isn't it?" " That's an absolutely ridiculous accusation, Madam," I said sternly, " I don't even work here"...... -

Border Run for Multi Entry Visa
I have a METV and am in CM. If he decides to go to Nong Khai. There is one direct flight (not daily) to Udon Thani and a mini bus to the border. Have not checked timings but a there and back in a day by direct flight probably does not work, Nong Khai is a decent place to overnight. There is a daily overnight bus to Nong Khai from Arcade. Came back from Nong Khai a few months ago this way, bit of a trek but the VIP seats were pretty good. Loads of international flight options if you fancy a few days elsewhere ( I have done most of the over the years) My border run next week is to Hong Kong. Unfortunately for Dr Jack there are no direct flights to Saigon this time of year, only destination in Vietnam is Hanoi -

What’s the best area in Thailand for expats to settle for long-term living?
Yea ... that was my chuckle on his/her/it's post, as I'm not much of a Hua Hin fan at all. Used to be a regular stop for couple days, 10-15 years running, starting in 2001. Really nice then. Now, I might pop into the mall, if needing something, but that's it. Actually here now, and not even going to bother with the mall. I wonder how many of those islands he/she/it's been to, to form the opinion that they are ruined. -

BBC Chairman Calls For a Thorough Review of Israel-Hamas War Bias
And you have just demonstrated bias in your statements, relying on what you believe is credible. Let's review; 6 Dead Hostages: They were executed, murdered in cold blood. They had been kept in a place without fresh air where they could not stand at least a month. There were no washing facilities and they had to use a bucket for a lavatory. The initial medical exam showed that the deceased hostages had serious bruising, lacerations, contusions and were malnourished. The entrance shaft to the tunnel complex was through a child's bedroom, in a house. The walls of the bedroom were decorated with Disney characters painted on the walls above the 20-meter-deep shaft. School Building bombed: The building was not being used as a school. It stopped being used as a school months ago. Calling it a school conjures up an image of a non militarized structure populated by non combatant children. That was not the case. The location is used as a shelter site, hosting an estimated 12,000 people. Hamas uses locations such as this to conceal munitions storage and as command and control sites. This has occurred in the past and been proven. Israel said that it used a directed missile strike to take out the command and control site. It will have to provide evidence, but it usually does within a few days and the evidence is typically damning. Calling this strike an "atrocity" is hyperbole. A strike on a location such as this is legally allowed so long as the deaths of non combatants is proportional. In a location of 12,000 only 14 were killed. It remains to be seen how many were Hamas personnel. Yes some UNWRA contract workers lost their lives too. It also is to be determined if they were also Hamas affiliated militants. It has already been established that multiple UN workers participated in the attack on Israel of October 7. The names and bios of the deceased have not been provided by Hamas. They typically do not admit to the deaths of their personnel and will substitute other names and/or bodies. -

Drunken 68 Year Old Man Climbs Phone Tower, 6 Year Old Granddaughter Talks Him Down
My point being, he has mental issues, most likely from depression, because anyone who climbs a tower either is intending to take his own life, or is looking for help. Being drunk isn't an excuse unless there is already something else there. Still nothing to do with being stupid. I wouldn't think he cares much about his ego doing something like this. It's a cry for help. -

What are the requirements exactly for credit cards?
When I first came to stay long-term in Thailand about a decade ago on a retirement visa I went to apply at two local banks, both said "no way", as I was not working. Both advised that I could go to the head offices in Bangkok and apply, which I did. Both applications were accepted, and months later letters informed me that my applications were rejected. Fast forward 7-8 years, one of the banks sent me a letter and asked if I wanted a credit card. Possibly this was because, of visa extension requirements, I have always maintained just over a million Baht in my account. -
