Trump Mocks France Over WWII Commemorations, Urges Greater U.S. Recognition
That is pretty sad, as the Newsweek blips didn't refer to him as 'former' president. Guess I'll need to look out for this 'fake news' advisory ... -

How to tell if you're dealing with a MAGA folk?
“Responsible armed citizens in America is an oxymoron.” Alex Baldwin certainly is. Just like the idiot in the video. -

What exactly is a Thai pink ID card?
You start with obtaining a "yellow housebook". Procedure can be simple or close to impossible. You are exposed to arbitrary handling at the district office (amphoe). For me (married to Thai) it was really easy. Simple passport translation by local translator. Name transcript from marriage documents. Procedure for yellow book includes creating a 13 digit foreigner ID analogue to the Thai persons ID. Also your name is transcribed to Thai script. Can be funny. Some say this ID nowadays is a valid tax ID (I can't confirm, never bothered about the much hyped tax for foreigner topic). Whether yellow book and pink card are accepted also varies from office to office. Here it's quite handy for proof of address at the DLT (motor office). Pattaya will deny (from reports). Toyota dealer even registered my new car based on this pink card. Doctors assistant will be happy to file you under the pink card details. Which region do you live? Living on one year extension? Visa type? Yes, try to check what your district office requires. Depending on that you can decide whether it's worth the office. Worst cases: been sent to your consulate in Bangkok for passport "verification" and then to foreign ministry (apostille) etc. Would have given up in such case. Tons of older threads about the topic... -

Dumb Pigeon just crashed into my Picture Window: Not too smart
We get pigeons flying into our 6mm dark glass windows all the time, they usually break their necks. One day we had some sort of hawk hit the glass just by way of a change. -

Vanguard for long-term investment
Yeah, but you can't open an account online from Thailand. I couldn't even do it using a vpn. You have to mail in the application and then they'll send the confirmation to your US address. Then even if you manage to open an account, they won't let you trade online if they suspect you're in Thailand -

One Big Beautiful Bill? More Like One Big Bloody Oversized Stich-Up, Bruv
I predict that Lewie London will implode long before MAGA ever does.
