Zingers are great!

But my favorite fast food chicken is roadside grilled half a chicken with spicy dip sauce som tam and sticky rice! washed down with an iced Heineken 😉

Kai Yang ....  roadkill chicken & rice,    because that's the flat chicken that looks like it's been run over by a semi-trailer.     But yes ' ...  it is tasty.

but not fast food.

Sometimes I eat a (double) whopper. My gf is a fan of these things.

We are filled up with those things. They are pretty big and substantial.

wow !     a double whopper is Burger King ?   that's gotta be around 280 baht ?

I don't really know how much it costs, but it's a lot more than McD and KFC.

But one of those is more than enough to be not hungry anymore. And IMHO the quality is not too bad.

I think some may taste better,  but not all.  I've had a CP pork burger with cheese and felt ill during the night.  I prefer toasted sandwiches now.

Ask for them to do in the Wave for longer time so it is piping hot all the way through. Basic food hygiene!

Same as OP, KFC Zinger, can be hit & miss, and Wing Zaps even lately have been hit & miss, along with price increase.  So give them a pass, unless hungry and nothing else available at the PTT Park, which is rare.

Since usually a food court and & 7-11 located at PTT Parks.  Only time I indulge KFC.  Price increase has stopped my getting the Double Whopper, when at Bluport Mall/Hua Hin, as for 229 ish baht, I can have a filling meal at the food court, instead of 1 sandwich, almost filling that it is.

Other fast food, is simply a coffee shop w/pastry.  Usually go for the cheesecake or something chocolate, as the healthier choice.

I like the double cheeseburger, the filet-of-fish and the Mc Spicy Chicken at McD's

Just in general, most of the time I eat whatever I eat at the source, where they make it. That might be restaurants or fast-food outlets or whatever.

It seems now many people order their food online. And when it arrives maybe 20 minutes later, they are disappointed that it's not the way they hope it should be. Don't be surprised that the food is not getting better when it is for a long time in some plastic bag.

I don't get doing the delivery thing all the time. When I eat at home, I cook at home. Now and then if I'm out late I'll stop at the 24hr McD's drive through.

It only takes about five minutes to get home from there, but the fries still don't make it.

Something about eating hot fries from the bag while driving...

Texas fried chicken beats KFC by a bunch.

Many people have told me this so I went and tried it. Not as good as advertised so I came home and did some googling. Texas chicken here is Church's which I never liked in America. Its all moot now anyway. If you like it you  better go pretty quick as its leaving Thailand.

September 30th will be its last day.

In NZ we can get this, and it is a feed and a half.

The Big Brekkie Beef Burger with rasher bacon, a freshly cracked free range egg, tasty cheese, hash brown, BBQ sauce and a 100% NZ beef 1/4lb patty all between a sesame seed bun. Breakfast just got bigger!

Zinger burgers are okay, a lot better than the rest of KFC fare.

Enjoy Texas chicken occasionally, they have some good wraps and the mash potato with gravy is pleasant.

A Zinger burger is a bread roll, with a minute bit of salad, and just ONE piece of the KFC fare.

Still, better than a bucketful of breaded chicken and fries.

It's junk food. Everyone with common sense know what it is.

Like booze, weed, cigarettes, chocolate, chips and so on.

People can make the choice.

plenty of places more unethical than the us ... that's for sure.

Damn right.

I'd rather support big corporations - which I own shares of - than local businesses anyway. Each to their own. Especially Thai businesses in tourist areas. Rotten bunch. Unpopular opinion, I know.

Aside from that, McDonald's has done more for society than most universities.

But I'll never forgive ditching the red and white plastic straw for this paper abomination.

Surprisingly it was/is NZ$8.50 or about 175 baht.

(Price as at 30 Apr 2024)

Quite good value in today's climate. I can eat one and feel quite full.

There is now way I could eat 2 in one sitting. I tried to once and it was a very uncomfortable feeling.  Like going mad on Christmas dinner!

I agree.  But why have a straw at all?

True, I never use it. I take the top off and just drink.

One thing I will say, their Sundae ice cream is good.

Well, the last days i don’t visit a fast food restaurant but yesterday instead a fast food a ‘real’ restaurant.

we eat with the whole family 6 adults and 2 children, nearly 20000 Thb, and after that still hungry.

I have to tell you it was in the Netherlands with ridiculous prices.

A lot of restaurants in NZ are closing.  Everything has just gotten too expensive and families can't afford to dine out.

Even the obligatory Friday night fish and chips meal is dying off as its no longer a cheap meal.

Average fish is now over 140 baht a piece. Scoop of chips about 120 baht. To feed a family of 5 it's going to cost at least 1000 baht without anything flash like mussels/oysters/spring roll/sausages/jam wrap donut.

That's partially why I like Thailand.  Fast food including street food is readily available here and not expensive.

we use to buy a feed of fish & chips on Sunday nights for the 6 of us ....   I remember the shop down the road ... chips were $1  and it was a great pile of chips wrapped in newspaper,  and the 6 pieces of battered cod or whiting was around $2.40  ....   so the feed was about $3.40 for us all.

And when you open that newspaper wrapping ....  a delicious smell of battered fish and chips ... and lemon slices were thrown in free.

$3.40 to feed fish & chips for 6?

Was that in the year 1945?
