A fire broke out at 04.35, on September 18, at a two storey house in Soi Sukhumvit 29, Sattahip, opposite Makro.Three fire engines from Khet Udomsak, two fire engines from Sattahip Municipality, and the Sawang Rojanatham Sathan Sattahip rescue team attended the incident.

The homeowner, Mr. Napharat Narongthammachot 30 years old, reported waking and was immediately aware of a strong smell of smoke and, upon investigating further, saw flames rapidly spreading through the house. With no time to spare, he quickly evacuated and alerted neighbours for help.

By the time firefighters arrived, in approximately 5 minutes, the house was fully alight and the priority was to stop  the fire spreading in the closely packed neighbourhood on a narrow street.

It took emergency responders 90 minutes to extinguish the fire, but the house and contents were fully destroyed. The fire was prevented from spreading and consuming adjoining premises, but some heat and smoke damage was caused.

Fortunately, no one was injured, and the authorities are investigating the cause of the fire and assessing the cost of the damages.

Well done to the Firemen.

Those other houses are packed in a tad close.

City planning at it's best.
