What has any of that random nonsense got to do with the topic of discussion?

She’s 100% correct on that one not to mention the way he bungled the Covid response I’ve seen estimates of 200 thousand + preventable deaths for just that blunder…….

That's a BIG under-estimation.

"Across 3,127 counties in the U.S., 620,872 estimated excess deaths occurred during the first year of the pandemic (March 2020 to February 2021), and 538,708 estimated excess deaths occurred during the second year (March 2021 to February 2022). This equals a total of 1,159,580 excess deaths during the first two years of the pandemic."

Certainly agree that it should be limited to listing under “World News”.

My former wife and myself agreed she should abort her third pregnancy for physical and mental health reasons. That decision has troubled us both ever since. Not a subject to be taken lightly, and certainly not a subject to be used to score political points.

.....in the way Trump did?

Lots of death could have been avoided if he wasn't lackadaisical in managing the early stages of the pandemic. Quite shocking that USA, a highly developed country lead the world in COVID-19 deaths.

yeah to blame Trump, those figure were manipulated to make every death a covid death, big difference of dying WITH covid or OF covid!! (but that is a different topic altogether)

Trump did whatever advised at the time, got the usns Comfort in straight away, it only treated 182 patients in 3.5 weeks, (not many for such a deadly virus), what ever he talked about, the Demorats and msm said the opposite. he tried to stop travel from China, the dems all running round like headless chicken calling him xenophobic. the NYC death were on Cuomo, for putting covid patients together. the states were allowed to act independently. more died under Biden, and he had the vaccine.

What do you think caused these spikes in excess deaths?.....let's agree it wasn't covid 19........ so that issue doesn't muddy the waters.

Could it be wearing masks?

Staying at home?

Not going on holiday?

This is NOT merely "scoring political points." She is trying to make people aware of just what is at stake! The GOP loser and his VP pick have openly stated again and again how they are all about a nationwide abortion ban - period. Lately they've toned that down (read LIED about it) because they are now realizing what a toxic stance they have.

No, they havent.  Both are in favour of each state deciding for itself.  Plus, I am still waiting to hear what Harris/Walz think is appropriate. All they do is spout bromides and euphemisms. At what point do THEY think abortion should not be allowed? Keeping in mind the usual exceptions (rape, incest, possible death of the mother).

The law in Georgia, from what I read, had nothing to do with these two sad situations.  But perhaps the perception of the law, as spread by the corporate media, contributed to their deaths.

If you are interested, here is the Trump position on abortion, as taken from his website;

We proudly stand for families and Life. We believe that the 14th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States guarantees that no person can be denied Life or Liberty without Due Process, and that the States are, therefore, free to pass Laws protecting those Rights. After 51 years, because of us, that power has been given to the States and to a vote of the People. We will oppose Late Term Abortion, while supporting mothers and policies that advance Prenatal Care, access to Birth Control, and IVF (fertility treatments).

ice President Kamala Harris is holding former President Donald Trump accountable for the deaths of two women in Georgia,

Cheap political point scoring off the backs of the deceased, this woman can't sink any lower. Utterly disgusting.

You mean apart from the fact that Trump didn't ban abortion in Georgia?

Trump's actions killed Roe vs. Wade and he has openly taken credit for that.

If Roe v. Wade stood as it should have stood, no state would have abortion laws as restrictive as Georgia. But you knew that already right?!?

No he didn’t.

He appointed rightwing religious zealots to the SCOTUS, they removed the protections women had under Rowe V Wade and set it up for Georgia to enact laws that not only banned abortion but threatened Doctors with severe penalties  for providing the healthcare these women needed.

Oh and incase you missed it, Trump bragged about it.

Trump and his followers think the public is so stupid that they believe that killing Roe vs. Wade was what "everyone" wanted. Only extremists wanted that. In fact, the sleazy justices that helped kill it lied at their senate confirmation hearings about how they would view Roe vs. Wade as set precedent.

Causation has to be a bit more immediate, Trump is not responsible for how free and independent minded judges interpret the law

Causation here is too remote, Trump is not a judge and he cannot be held responsible for how free and independent judges interpret the law.

You really think we're dumb, huh?

Trump ran on a platform of picking judges that would kill Roe vs. Wade.

It's impossible to believe that you didn't know that.

You know, I've had enough of this. BYE!

It is impossible to believe that you could ever provide a link that would establish that Trump ran on a platform of picking judges that woujld kill Roe vs Wade.

He's too stupid to write such big words. Obviously a bunch of lies. What DID come out of his gob is how every woman should be punished for having an abortion.

Sorry, that dog don't hunt.
