September and October are my favourites, less tourists in Thailand although Angkor Wat has been ridiculously packed, which is OK because I usually stroll the lesser temples
I can never understand why countries like the US and Australia get so concerned about China buying rural land. It' s no different from what the British and Americans have done. If there is an international crisis the Chinese can't take it back with them - time to worry about that if and when the time comes.
On September 24, 2024, news broke that Pol. Gen. Surachet "Big Joke" Hakpal is once again in trouble, as the Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO) has been asked to seize 480,000 baht in assets following the discovery of financial transfers tied to illegal online gambling activities.
The AMLO received a confidential letter from the Technology Crime Suppression Division (TCSD), signed by Pol. Lt. Gen. Worawat Watnakornbancha, requesting the outcome of the Transaction Committee's meeting on August 6, 2024.
The committee ordered the seizure of assets related to the ongoing investigation into a money laundering case linked to Mr. Nattawat Phimsawat and his associates.
Mr. Nattawat and his group are accused of organizing illegal online gambling and committing money laundering. The investigation revealed multiple financial transactions, including those tied to Big Joke and his wife’s bank accounts. The remaining balance in these accounts is suspected to be connected to the gambling activities.
The case, originally filed with Thung Maha Mek Police, was transferred to the TCSD. Investigators continue to collect evidence, and AMLO is now involved in seizing the assets. Big Joke’s alleged involvement has drawn significant attention, and further updates are expected as the investigation progresses.

Too many staff ffs!!! If I ran the Immigration department I could do it on a third of the Budget. Firstly put all expats and foreign workers etc. on a Thai ID card with all their information on a microchip to save the mountains of continuous photocopies etc. as well as stopping 90 day reporting. Make people responsible for updating info when required.
I'm still waiting. It's probably better described as brunch in my place.
Yesterday it was a boiled egg, toast and half an avocado.
The day before a banana pancake and a plate of noina.
Before that cornflakes, with bananas and yogurt.
It varies.
Crazies tend to be Wahhabis or those sects influenced by Wahhabism - ideology promoted by the Wahhabis with money in Saudi Arabia. Analogous to the Evangelicals of Christianity
I'm only in Bangkok for one more day, so Lazada isn't an option. Is there a physical shop that stocks eclectic batteries for cameras? Preferably unlike the one I found in Icon Siam that wanted more for batteries than I paid for the camera... (They didn't have my specific battery anyway.)
Lots of choices online, but I need one today. TIA.
