I don't need a tourist visa?

Featured Replies

If I'm arriving from Australia to Thailand for 35 day stay ,

I'm staying over 3O days

I no longer need a tourist visa right?

I can arrive and stay up to 60 days ?

Is that correct ?

The Thai embassy Australian website is saying 30 days still ?

What am I going to do ?

Is it still 30 days ?

I'm staying 35 !

Who is going to tell me ?

You're telling porkies. Both the Thai Embassy in Canberra and the Thai Consulate in Sydney clearly say visa exempt is 60 days and have done so since mid July.

Thanks but just tell me simply that means I'm ok to arrive without a visa if my departure date is 34 days on arriving?

Is that what you mean ?

Yes.

Also you have an onward/return ticket within 60 days so all good

When I came in a few weeks ago I handed my passport to the officer and said 60 days. She acknowledged same.  Checked the stamp before leaving the desk.  Easy...

When I flew out of Swampy last week I went through the epassport gate, no stamp out in my PP. What about arrivals? Are they now epassport too or are they same as before, getting a stamp in PP.

What's the issue. Previously visa exempt entry was 30 days and currently it's 60 days.
