Most beers are 5% or lower now, too weak i think. I have an idea to buy the beers i enjoy drinking and add alcohol, what would you add? rum, whisky? what specifically? anyone tried it?

 

This is for home use, only a couple a week, I'm not a raging alcoholic 

IIRC one can buy high strength beers at Rimping, 8-9%.

 

Lao Khao or vodka would probably best to avoid adding any taste.

boilermaker -- shot of whisky either on the side or added to the beer.

Freeze the beer than remove the ice

you now have a more concentrated beverage

Wouldn't it be easier just to buy a better, stronger beer, if the beer flavor is what you are after.  More expensive, but if your added alcohol, it may balance out, and not taste like beer with spirits added.

 

How about a Magners cider, or them Belgium beers, probably available at Villa Markets.  These all use to be available at Udon Thani at different vendors.

Delerium Nocturnum, dark beer with 8.5% 

beer,Kasteel Donker,which is 11%

Corne Tripel (10%)

Delerium Red (8.5%).
Also a Champagne Beer called Deus (11.5%)

A glass of good single malt whiskey will do on the side. In my younger days that was always a good start on a long night out.

Buy a litre of food grade alcohol on Lazada and add to your taste.

Not too many fans of Korean dramas here, otherwise you would know of   Beer + Soju = Somaek  😁

Soju is a fermented rice product. It has 1/2 the alcohol content of vodka.  Somaek is prepared by mixing a few shots of soju into a light beer.

 

+1 for the Soju

in our younger days,  Corona + Tequila = Coronita  - these were guaranteed to induce a massive headache!

Stick with imported beer, makes a great impression on the American gals.

Use ordinary vodka.

 

 

Drinking high strength, tooth enamel-peeling farm cider in the West Country we used to add a gin top to make it a little more 'dry'.

A shot of Vodka or Tequila works.

A shot of 100% pure alcohol into the Beer helps!

Possibly but I'd rather stick to asian beer like Dunkel or Beer Lao Dark rather than get back into belgium beer etc

No it's quite drinkable, Carabao dunkel is a but like Lao dark, but not as strong
