This is a warning for you guys to check your travel insurance

So I got a bit worried lately after a member on here spoke about his heart pains with his frequent testereone injections

I noticed also I was getting   chest pains too although  the right side and middle after testereone injections

I had these checked in Australia with Cardiography etc but the doctors claim they can't find anything except something called pericarditis which in his words is trivial the lying thieving Australian doctors say and should go away

I made enquiries with a hospital to get a heart check whilst I'm here in Thailand

I emailed the travel insurance company to ask for payment

Well...they write back after a few days to tell me ,sorry it's pre existing your heart tests because..... anything you went to the doctor about in the last 12 months your NOT covered for !!!

Which leaves me covered for nothing !!!

In the last year I have been for heart tests ,liver tests ,kidney tests ,body ultrasouns ,chest X rays , bladder tests , prostate tests ,throat scans , colonoscopy etc

They found nothing because they are liars !!!

I'm  a walking time now  and yesterday sitting in a cafe in Pattaya I started to get anxiety and felt like a heart pain and then a liver pain and started thinking about the cost of I did have a heart attack or kidney failure or liver failure or my knees give out

They write back to tell me I'm covered for anything NOT involving the last 13 months !

Means nothing

I will be taking them to court

They have blocked my communication because they are thieves and I have emailed them over 50 times to tell them

I have asked for my money back

Please check your insurance

You are NOT covered for heart attack if you have HIGH Blood pressure before taking the insurance unless you got pre existing cover and exemption

They accept your $$$ but will refuse if you have a heart attack claiming it was pre existing and was caused by your high blood pressure

Hopefully my CT scan calcium scan on Wednesday in BKK will let me know if I need to rush back to Australia for immediate heart surgery .

My blood pressure was 135 yesterday

Which insurance company was it? I had the same thing two years ago and ended up paying the bill myself. Travel Insurance is a total scam. I'd be taking them to court as well.

Ignore the nasty comments here. You can turn your health around by learning about what foods to eat/drink and avoid, and make sure you exercise and do easy love / stress-removing meditations, such as those at HeartMath.org. There are also many helpful stress-removing videos on YouTube, of course. You'll be back in full health again. Don't worry! Remember - food, exercise, stress.

Unprescribed testosterone injections are also disqualifying. It is a suicide move with pericarditis.

Most travel policies are for emergency care when traveling, not general medical coverage any time you like.

I'm thinking of not getting another testereone injection whilst in Thailand, you think it could cause a heart attack if I have pericarditis?

Why don't you ask a doctor? There are a lot of issues playing with hormones, particularly in the liver.

Athletes who abuse testosterone and other androgenic steroids have a sharply increased risk of high blood pressure, heart attack, and stroke. And in high doses, testosterone can have a negative effect on cardiac risk factors, including HDL ("good") cholesterol levels.

I recently stumbled across a policy that would exclude "undiagnosed" pre existing conditions,    and another which would not cover anybody who had not been "permanently resident in their home country for the previous 6 months"

Personally a few years ago I was hospitalised with kidney stones,   I gave the girl in the hospital the insurance paper which had a 24 hr emergency hotline telephone number    She called 5 times a day for 3 days,   nobody even answered the phone !   Lucky I had my credit card

I doubt many getting their shots in Pattaya are "athletes"    even after the injection

I would tend to agree.   Another point worth mentioning is the much talked about placebo effect.  I remain open minded about it, bu if so many tests confirm it can work ,  why is it not the default goto first option for doctors dealing with non critical minor issues ?>  maybe ask big pharma eh?

You do realise Yorgo, that we are all going to die.

There are no guarantees in life as to how long we will survive, so best enjoy everyday and stop worrying about this or that, worry about it, if and when it happens.

In the mean time, eat healthy, exercise, grab a girl or 2 while your here, and release some of that build up testosterone.

99.9% of insurers won't cover you in an emergency situation unless you spend at least 24 hours in a hospital, that is what they consider an emergency.

Looks like they outsmarted the fox this time Yorgo, and we know you won't be taking them to court, because if you read the fine print, you would know that they are within their rights to deny your claims.

I looked at a travel insurance policy the other day, I was more interested in the excess waiver of $4,000 cover for hiring a motor car, e.g. if I have a prang, they pay the excess of $4,000 to the car hire company.

I could have insured with the car hire company for $98 (one week) car hire, the travel insurance was $156 and covered a million things, so I thought, you know what, for the extra $58 it's worth it, i.e. until I started reading the policy, with it stating that anything with # next to it, isn't covered, anything with * isn't covered, and so on and so forth, so all those extras which I thought were a lot, were actually nothing, I would basically get my bags covered, and my flight cancellation (refund), so wasn't worth it to me.

Moral of the story, read the fine prints, always, and find a policy that covers you for what you want, but I doubt you will find what you want, i.e. unless you avoid seeing Dr's for at least 13 months.

That's insurance companies for you. Take your money but do their best to refuse a claim.

Insurance companies are a kind of mafia, and they will use any excuse they can find to get out of paying for any claim. Having said that pre-existing conditions are never covered under most medical insurance or travel insurance.

I would never consider visiting the US without travel insurance, through AXA it cost me about 2,500 baht for one month of very good coverage.

A few times I’ve taken travel insurance out I never ever ever list any pre-existing conditions so there’s no real way that they’re checking and if I have a problem, they covered 100% you probably told them about your pre-existing hypochondriac attitude and now they’re not covering you that’s normal to cover walking dead man

Hypochondria stikes again...getting untold number of hospital/doctor visits with no definite answers as to cause would probably have any insurance coverage denied.  Just saying.  But if you can afford it continue your doctor visits.

What's your blood pressure after this rant?

Anyone buying insurance should be aware of exemptions. And preexisting conditions are never covered. Nothing surprising.

In Australia we have "bulk billing ' ,( free doctor visits, certain doctors only )  blood tests are free and get one every month and should Dept of health in Australia question it I need it as far as I'm concerned and they have never questioned me so I could keep getting full blood tested every month !!!

If you have a heart attack you don't think they will GET your past medical history!
