The thing about that report cited by the NY Post is that it's headed by Lorenzo G. Vidino

He has a history of making unfounded accusations. In one case he actually incited a police raid on one scholar he accused of being in league with terrorists. Ultimately, the case fell apart, but not before Hafez had to leave Austria for the US
