They have bigger issues with beach cleanliness than a bit of pee, get a grip of all the filth flowing into the bay from the city drains after every bit rain, if you are not providing adequate toilet facilities then what do they expect to happen? Business toilets are for customers only and they shouldn’t be expected to cover for local governments negligence

A public beach without toilet facilities is a bit third rate. They have been promised in recent beach "improvements" but never materialised.

they have clean rest rooms  on Bali beaches

These same do gooders would also have you believe that when you have finished your pee any more than three shakes would be considered as masturbation.

Fish pee in the sea all the time.  Why not people?

It's an unwritten agtreement. We dont let sardines pee on the steps at 7-11s.😀

Ok, must be different versions. I have only heard: Here I sit, broken-hearted, Paid a penny and only farted.

Same, same but different?

Were urine samples taken?

Why? I was 7 or 8 years old and in there for a c**p.

And in those days, a urine sample was something you may have heard your Granny talking about!

Or just your attempt at humour?

Yes, and that was the reason that pissed him (if you know what I mean)

It must have been humor as one granny died when I was 4 years old and the other granny lived 10,500 kms away/[,

As an avid walker I'd suggest that the mayor take a walk around Pattaya and witness the dreaded Pattaya pavers problem. It would be far more beneficial to all than watching 2 Thai guys watering the horse.

If they are charged then all the fish and other sea creatures should also be charged for peeing and defecating.  "Its just a drop in the ocean" as the saying goes.

I suspect laws do not apply to creatures of the sea or land, dogs would be the top offenders!

I would like to be the first poster to state that I would prefer NOT to see men's knobs out on beaches

I agree, but it is quite clear that what you can see in the picture is far too long to be the guys whanger.

He was probably holding a closed umbrella as well in case of windlash respray!

No, it´s not free here. Not even if the government or city municipality would put up facilities like you post. First, free is not in the cultural behavior in Thailand. Second, they need someone to work and keep the facilities clean, free from people using drugs and living on the streets and so on.....

It costs money, and most Thais understand that and are willing to pay a small fee, for the small amount of times they are using such facilities. As foreigners, we should also understand that and don´t have problem with their system.

There are many cost effective ways for providing simple basic ammenities, if Thailand wants foreign tourists that spend then provide the basic's otherwise the streets and beaches will be covered in litter, garbage and urine which is already a problem! If thats the way Thai's want to live so be it, quality tourist numbers will eventually decline, Chinese & Indian's will feel quite at home given similar scenarios in their home countries & the Thai people will be the looser's

Seriously the beach in Pattaya is a sewage pond.  You can see the raw sewage from hotels and condos freely flowing into the sea.
