In an incident fueled by jealousy, a man fatally shot his girlfriend, a newly appointed teacher, in the back of the head while she was in her car. He then fled the scene with her body, later taking his own life. The victim's younger sister narrowly escaped the violence.

On October 19, at around 20:00, Don Chimphli Police Station in Chachoengsao province received a report of a suspected vehicle involved in the earlier shooting of a woman. The boyfriend, Mr. Arthitwat, had shot his girlfriend, Ms. Raiwin, aged 25, in the car and fled the scene with her body. The incident occurred in Moo 9, Don Chimphli subdistrict, Bang Nam Priao district, Chachoengsao.

It was revealed that the couple had been in a relationship for over 10 years. Ms. Raiwin had recently secured a position as a teacher in Bang Pakong district. On the day of the incident, Mr. Arthitwat, 25, picked her up in his gray Toyota, accompanying them in the car was Ms. Raiwin's younger sister.

While driving, the couple began arguing, reportedly due to Mr. Arthitwat's intense jealousy. During the argument, he pulled out a .38 caliber handgun and shot Ms. Raiwin, killing her instantly. The younger sister managed to escape by jumping from the car and later informed their family.

Local residents reported seeing a suspicious car parked for an extended period along Bang Khanak Road in Bang Nam Priao district, with bullet holes visible in the rear window. Police rushed to the scene.

Upon inspection, they found Mr. Arthitwat dead in the driver's seat, with a handgun still in his right hand. Ms. Raiwin's lifeless body was discovered slumped to the floor on the passenger side, with a fatal gunshot wound to the head.

Authorities believe the motive was jealousy, as Mr. Arthitwat was known for being excessively possessive. Police have begun collecting evidence and are continuing their investigation.

What an absolute moron, what a pathetic example of a man. For most of us if a relationship is not working out we do what we can to try to make it work by using devices like understanding and communication, and if things don't get better, if things don't work out we simply wish our partner a great life, and then we move on.

Not this freak. Some Thai people are way immature for their age. And many women and men are emotionally undeveloped, and really just 13 year olds, who look like adults. There is something about this society that does not allow most people to grow up with an understanding of themselves. I think face has something to do with it. The utter refusal to take responsibility for one's actions and the unwillingness to "own" a situation, and man up when you screw up. That and the inability to question people, and situations. And the subsequent lack of curiosity. It is all a perfect storm, when it comes to preventing alot of people from becoming well developed human beings, with communication skills, and the tools needed to conduct meaningful relationships, beyond the surface.
