Really, there was a chair of Marxian Economics? And as the Times article noted, a colleague of his noted that he steadily moved away from that. Not only that, but he headed a successful reform of the Jamaican economic system.  Unless you believe that Marxism works, it's dubious that the reforms were based on Marxism.

I would like to know if McDonald's corporate was asked for permission to do this propaganda event where the convicted felon accuses Harris of never working at a McDonalds without an ounce of proof of that or did the franchisee just do it without permission?

I suspect the latter.

If the former, a boycott of global McDonalds would actually be justified in the same way that many people (including me) won't invest in Tesla or buy a Tesla product for political reasons, etc.

No need to twist your panties so tight.  McD's are usually franchises and have some latitude in their actions.  Plus, the burden is not on Trump to prove Harris didn't work there. It was Harris who first claimed, without evidence, that she once was a fry cook at the Golden Armpits. Until she can show some evidence, her claim is unproven.

If you login to My Social Security and go to the homepage, at the bottom there is a link to My Earnings History. It doesn't provide any employer's name (I don't remember if the yearly hardcopy I used to receive did provide that), but it does show income during any given year. So, it will not show if Harris worked at McDonald's in 1983 but it will show if she worked at any time during 1983 for any business required to deduct social security. Easy enough for her to show that she at least worked somewhere, if she did,  during that year, I would think.
