Travel Insurance to Thailand - how much to insure for?

Featured Replies

Overall Maximum Limit choices are for $100k, $250k, $500k, $1mil and $2mil. What would be a sufficient amount coverage for someone 40 years old who's quite healthy looking for 8 months of coverage? I'm thinking the $1mil and $2mil options might be a bit much?

"The overall maximum limit is the maximum amount that your policy will pay towards eligible expenses incurred per coverage period, except for certain benefits that are not subject to the overall maximum limit as stated in the policy"

$250k coverage and $250 deductible - US$515 premium

$100k coverage and $250 deductible - US$490 premium

For AUD1367 you can get unlimited coverage with World Nomads, or AUD1031 for 5M. And their policy wording is better than most. I've made several claims, one circa 350,000B, and had no problems.

Sorry bbil.... watching football...... yer when ask questions its better give info  to age etc...with AMH I put you down for  7 months travel age 50..... must have medicare card  $A760.....age 30 $A640... the medicare card gives them an out if you have a really long term accident / Sickness--they just fly you home let the system take care of you .

I guess you know Thailand--- 3 things you must have if you want them to pay out on bike ride accident.

1-Helmet
