Immigration - totally useless

It can be confusing when filling in Thai Immigration papers, when for example, the boxes to fill in dates have the day at the end of one line and then month and year at the start of the next. WHY they cannot have dates to be put as the conventional DD/MM/YYYY I cannot understand.

I find the forms so confusing in terms of spacing and order  I keep a filled in one as a template and copy that for each new application. Reduces the times having to start again with a new form.

Another pathetic, sanctimonious response. I actually suggested how the OP might be going wrong and suggested a solution. What did you do? You came on here with your sanctimonious 'I am Mr Thailand' attitude.

I read a nasty post so I replied.

I wasn't expecting hate and hostility.

Anyway I'm outnumbered here too many moaning foreigners in Thailand now.

Someone informed me today from immigration at Hua Hin that the online 90 day report has been suspended or taken down. I am trying to find out if it is true

It's moving to the higher floor (2/3? )that was mainly empty alongside a new Thai passport office.

Can't beat walking into the office and actually handing over your passport.

That's fine, normally it takes me about one minute. The only problem is wasting hours on the road going on a roundtrip of about 200kms for this st**id procedure.

Maybe because some people are used to MM/DD/YYYY format for some unknown reason?

I know your type, you rudely jumped into my conversation I was having with the OP, replying with hostility, just here for an argument.

Enjoy your miserable day.

Conversesation?

"You'll find 99% of issues are due to foreigners Incompetence, not understanding the procedures here in Thailand.

It's quite easy to post negative threads on AN, you'll get lots of likes but it won't make your life easier.

I find dealing with government departments in Thailand quite easy and straight forward once you understand how their systems work.

Maybe Thailand is not for you. "

If that's you "conversation style" no wonder you defend Immi 'cause you got no place to go.... you're stuck here!

I do my 90d reports, since the beginning of online repoting, always onine.

Never ever had a problem with it. It never has been rejected.

It is very easy complaining it is not working well but most it is because the user doesn't do it correct.

For the items as province, district-tambon.....: Use the automatic seach windows.

They put red stars next to some input field, I'm guessing to indicate they are mandatory.  However, forename is not flagged as such, even though it is required.  There are other fields, too, I believe.

So did you just complete the red-starred fields? When I did so for my latest online report a couple of weeks ago, this, too, was initially rejected on the grounds of "Incomplete information provided". So I completed all remaining fields and resubmitted, with approval by my office (Rayong) being forthcoming the next day.

I strongly suspect that the sole piece of additional info which is considered so absolutely desperately essentially vital by IMM as a prerequisite to their approval of online 90-day reports is your phone number. For some mysterious reason this is an optional field in the online system, yet mandatory on a paper TM47! However, I was taking no chances, so gave 'em the full Monty instead.

I can assure you that in many cases it's not due to incorrect submission of the online report.

BTW: which immigration office?

The system works if you use it correctly.

It does not. Far from it.

There are numerous posts on AseanNow regarding rejection of online report.

Including the list of "conditions" you posted.

I have 4 rejections from online (CW) despite successful online reporting in the past and as result have done in person.

It's fine till online falls out of love with you.

Previously you have castigated me for selectively quoting you on a reply yet you have done the same to me here. You have not addressed the points I made in my post. Was anything incorrect in my points 1,2 and 3 ? If so let me know. My experience is they have worked and I have been doing 90 day reports since 2008 including online since the service started. The only time my online application did not work in those years was when they closed the online web site service for a period to update the web site or when I did not follow those 3 points.

Points 1,2,3 irrelevant.

Your post started with sentence ....

" The system works if you use it correctly."

That is incorrect.

There are numerous posts in this forum from folk (including Me) that have done what you outlined in your post and have had online report rejected.
