Health Covid-19's XEC Variant Spreads Like Wildfire, Says Thai Health Ministry
I suggest you spend more time reading and considering the information. Again you demonstrate bias. You present a reference that was based solely on a review of a small number of papers proposing Ivermectin use. It was not original clinical research. Some of it was unverified, non peer reviewed research. All of the information relied upon was prior to April 2021. You ignore the fact that subsequent clinical trials have proved the claims false and have shown that there is no benefit. For example one of the pivotal studies upon which the paper you cite relied upon has since been withdrawn. WITHDRAWN: Efficacy and Safety of Ivermectin for Treatment and prophylaxis of COVID-19 Pandemic Ahmed Elgazzar, Basma Hany, Shaimaa Abo Youssef, Mohy Hafez, Hany Moussa, and 1 more Research Square withdrew this preprint on 14 July 2021 due to verifiable concerns communicated directly to our staff. These concerns are now under formal investigation by the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education. Detailed information on the reasons for this withdrawal can be found here. (note updated 12 March, 2022) Another example of the data relied upon; Davey M. Huge Study Supporting Ivermectin as Covid Treatment Withdrawn over Ethical Concerns. The Guardian; 2021. Available at: https://www.theguardian.com/science/2021/jul/16/huge-study-supporting-Ivermectin-as-covid-treatment-withdrawn-over-ethical-concerns. Accessed July 22, 2021. [Google Scholar] Some of the research looked at was rather negative. JAMA . 2021 Mar 4;325(14):1426–1435. doi: 10.1001/jama.2021.3071 Effect of Ivermectin on Time to Resolution of Symptoms Among Adults With Mild COVID-19 A Randomized Clinical Trial Conclusion and Relevance: Among adults with mild COVID-19, a 5-day course of ivermectin, compared with placebo, did not significantly improve the time to resolution of symptoms. The findings do not support the use of ivermectin for treatment of mild COVID-19, although larger trials may be needed to understand the effects of ivermectin on other clinically relevant outcomes. You have selectively hunted for papers that support your personal view. The reality is that you cannot provide actual clinical trial results since 2023, or even 2022 that supports ongoing use of ivermectin. Now that the mechanism of infection and how it runs its course, is understood, the use of ivermectin becomes even more idiotic. -
