Trump's Cabinet of horrors exposes his totalitarian drift

So why not let each congressional district have its own vote?

I prefer popular vote, like all are elected other than the president.  Easy to see which candidate the majority of the voters wanted as president.  In 2016 it was Clinton.  In 2020 it was Biden.  In 2024 it was Trump.   Simple.

Totalitarianism seeks dominion over the individual to the point where individuality is erased. That’s what happened to the Republican Party. Individuals have looked the same, talked the same, acted the same and thought the same for a long time. (The men sometimes literally dress the same as Donald Trump, with a blue suit, a long red tie.) After the election, however, Republican behavior has finally been totalized.

Totalitarianism also seeks to dominate the individual’s mind by going to war against facts, reason, science and any useful meaning of the word “proof.” In normal times, pre-Trump, we could expect in the Senate a spirited debate over a president-elect’s cabinet nominations, beginning with whether they’re qualified. Such debate is going to be impossible now, because “being qualified” is a meaningless term.

Trump's Cabinet of horrors exposes his totalitarian drift | Opinion

It needs a tough cabinet to get the USA back on track. The left might call that totalitarian or even Nazi. No more back stabbers and country depleters. And then again, left is always whining, being in the USA or eg Europe.

This is the opinion of a deluded mind. It is the totalitarianism of the Left with it's identity politics that lost it the election.

this exactly the reason for his comment        useful meaning of the word “proof.”

Actually, I was trying to factually defend my approval, that is why I asked a high IQ leftist:

1. Which of the cabinet picks do you think is unqualified, and why?

And:

2. Which of the Cabinet picks do you approve of?

The high IQ leftist was not able to answer, all he did was sit back smug, so I was not able to defend my approval. You seem like a high IQ leftist, why don't you tell me which of the cabinet picks you think is unqualified, and why you think they are unqualified? Also, which of the Cabinet picks do you approve of?

I am excited about being able to factually defend my approval, and I look forward to your detailed response.

To me it would seem your rising excitement or anticipation of it is obscuring your capacity to comprehend some realities.

I am also a little confused as to the Trump Maga fraternities obsession with the concept of IQ and a sort of paranoid of that concept objection as if it is a weapon that MAGists crave but have none of.

Further to that concept it is my personal consideration that it has little in real terms to do with educational subjugated conformity and more to do with rational capacity to comprehend the realities of self situation.

Across the social/ global spectrum there are those who are or were famous in recognition of their contributions by way of technical or philosophical offerings. Some like Tesla were denied until after death. Some have been lauded and accredited falsely as a genius such as Edison.

Perhaps there is a genre of genius in business acumen which the grandest and perpetuating example of monetary control belongs to the Rothschild's family because it has directed global politics for centuries.

Sadly  for Trump and his sycophants he rates as a non starter in terms of genuine intelligence or wealth.

He does however legitimately  appear to deserve recognition as anyone no person would  welcome into an honest  family  circle IMO.

So in getting back into your request as to questioning Trumps nominated appointed and hopeful annointed I can only comment on two in particular.

Gaetz is and continues to be under scrutiny for sexual misconduct which as a nominee for legal oversight is an obvious disqualification. Never mind some outraged bs about innocent until proven !

JFK Jnr is a renowned anti science  advocate well ahead of a person with any demonstrated attitude of rational caution.

Other appointees will undoubtedly fit the same criteria of retributive destruction Trump desires .

His Chief of Staff seems to have already been relegated to Tea& Coffee Lady.

You asked for detail. Such as it is this is much as I give you because I have a real life to participate in.

Defend all you want if you need do.

Global reactivity even before Trump flexes his wrist signing Executive economic death sentences on the US has already begun.

Creating  conditions for war are more  justifiable in the  aftermath than declaring a war in the minds of the "Genius".

So you have issue with only two. One because of unsubstantiated sexual activity and one that you claim is anti science.

I do not think unsubstantiated claims should be disqualifying, you do. We disagree.

What makes the other anti science?

Because I am a rational, sane person with a thinking brain.   As such, I have many considerations when I am choosing where to move to as a place to live.  It's a sizeable list of boxes to check off of things I would like to have in the place I select.  While it would be nice if the place I select to move to had majority vote for presidential elections, it would not be on my list of boxes to check off.   Fun fact.  While no place ever checks all the boxes, Pattaya comes closest for me in Thailand.

For the "one" accused of sexual improper behavior it is unfortunate that Speaker Johnson finds it necessary to false claims the details of ethics committee investigations are duly invalidated by resignation when no such issue has historically been disputed. But that involved Democrat resignations so different criteria applies?

"The Other" has demonstrated hypocrisy already by willingly subjecting to a photo op showing himself partaking in a poison food fest on Trump's aircraft. That after being ever so disparaging about what Trump eats and what is made available when traveling with .

Hardly a good look to bend the knee before getting the feet under the "Health " desk.

Another contender for doubt is Hegseth with reference to sexual impropriety.

Trump seems to have a predilection for individuals who emulate his own behaviors.

No background checks?

It also will be  interesting to witness if the military will willingly enforce deportations after Trump has confirmed that intent.

I have no idea what you are saying.

Events happened six years ago, there was a DOJ investigation, no charges were brought.

You claimed he was anti science, and to support your claim, you show a picture of him holding a McDonald’s burger. That seems a bit thin.

No charges much less convictions of Hegseth.

So that’s it?

For me it is enough to generate doubt over "appropriate" appointments versus retaliatory rewards for "loyalty" to MAGA.

I am not unsympathetic to some of the "concepts of plans" touted but I genuinely believe Trump has only a personal vengeance agenda he desires to achieve and the remainder of his POTUS status mk2 will be enabling sycophantic like minded social recidivists and/or psychopathic individuals to displace any semblance of cohesive Government.

Why is it that the initial euphoria over Born Again Trump has degenerated into a global stampede in terms of trade and politics and derision from fair weather allies and more?

A sudden and radical demarcation from historically established geopolitical guidelines is a recipe for global descent into wildfire expansions of military conflict.

I sincerely doubt Trump actually cares because such an outcome would satisfy his ego if he could comprehend the initiation but ignore the destruction.

I do not  doubt he would attribute any negative accusation in such an event on one of his chosen sycophantic  despicables.

I have no doubt Trump will be the catalyst for change to at least some degree.

If not inhibited by the GOP majority it will be a disaster  for the USA.

If moderated by the bi partisan application of the Constitution it will be limited to MAGA cultism.

It is sobering to consider the fact that the advocates or late comer adulators of Trump will probably be the last to comprehend and  defend against the negative impact of his desired temporary induced seduction to delusional cult based self perceptions.

Yeah, I don’t see it that way.

Watching the left melt down over this is great fun.

And this from the people who literally invited thieving ladyboys into the government! O, the delicious irony!

Another left winger traumatised by a democratic vote

We know by now that the left only has two definitions of "democratic":

(1) When leftist candidates win

(2) Communist, as in "Democratic People's Republic of..."

Come to think of it, those two things are pretty strongly related! But neither is actually correct.
