$380 Billion in foreign aid has already been spent on this war, at taxpayers expense, that should tell you all you need to know.

98 billions euros US aid and 81 billions EU aid as at August 2024

Oh dear oh dear oh dear, it's all going wrong for the proponents of the proxy war.

This is what escalation looks like folks, and if some people don't stop poking the Bear it's going to be nuclear winter.

I guess the leaders of Europe that have been front and center in the fiasco have comfy bunkers to hide in when it all goes poof, unlike the serfs they pretend to represent.

People are NOT poking the bear.

They are trying to kick it's buttt out of an innocent country that it has invaded and where it is killing innocent people.

Please rethink your your (mis)understanding.

It is the 'bear' that is escalating things.

Go nuclear? Bring it on. The bear will do it regardless, but please stop all of this 'if you repel me, I will nuke you' rubbish.

'The bear' started this. why are you supporting it?

Then Xi could walk in to Taiwan, not to mention Laos, Vietnam , Cambodia & Thailand ...

No not Vietnam, they would resist and tie up too many troops, but Laos, Cambodia, Thailand...low hanging fruit.

This will never work with Putin, who is having a laugh when facing weak and disjointed adversaries such as the  EU and US. What is needed right now is a a 2% or 3% war sales tax across the EU. These populations must contribute heavily to the war effort, otherwise they'll have nothing to complain about what is going to happen.

Make peace, not war - at least try.

You don't put a dollar cost for defending sovereignity and freedom. No one talks about costs to defend Europe against Hilter or Asia against Imperial Japan.

Correct, some of the blokes on here have a very short memory or are more worried about money, very sad indeed........🤕

Ridiculous comment. No way Ukraine can kick Russia out of territory taken. Everyone knows this. This push is, on the whole only one way and that way is west of Ukraine's eastern border albeit slowly. This is the reality on the ground. If you think it isn't I suggest you go and look at war maps and see for yourself. It's a protracted war of attrition and Russia quite simply has more troops and more weapons. For example Russia has huge stockpiles of Soviet era bombs and they're turning these into very effective weapons aka glide bombs. They're also getting weapons from North Korea and Iran. Iran in the form of drones and North Korea ammunition and artillery shells and units. Ukraine doesn't stand a chance of victory without significant western input and this simply hasn't happened. ATACMS, Storm Shadows and personnel mines are too few and too late. Ukraine needs way more air defence systems but they're not being given. The only way this war will stop is through negotiation otherwise it will continue for years on end. You also say bring on nuclear war. "Go nuclear? Bring it on." That's simply insane.

A Putin supporter, a surrender guy, a coward, a disgrace to the fight for freedom.

You forget about your countrymen, women, and others that fought for you to be free..........:coffee1:

No, we poked the bear by interfering in a Ukrainian civil war, we picked sides (a questionable side at that), Russia saw the inevitable and acted. Even a blind person would've been able to predict what was going to happen here. This is the outcome of NATO's doing, they should have stayed out of Russia's backyard.

Rollox, in 2014 Putin invaded Ukraine for land grab, seems you forgot, 2022, tried to take more land.

Now MORE border or near border countries have seen the writing on the wall, Russia is now an invader.

You back Russia up, go live there, help out.........🤔

Pointing out facts which is something you obviously have no grasp on makes me "A Putin supporter, a surrender guy, a coward, a disgrace to the fight for freedom" and "Disgraceful". This quite frankly is a complete load of BS from someone who doesn't have the intellect to frame a proper response. Just your usual ad hominem attack. You really are quite pitiful. Why don't you argue with support that Ukraine can push Russia back to the 2022 border and take back Crimea. You can't because a) you don't have the intellectual capacity and b) there is nothing that will support such an argument. A negotiated ceasefire with terms is the only way this war will end and it will be Trump that gets this done.

Which particular emoji/emojis are you going to use this time? What's your a hominem attack not intellectual response going to be?

Sovereignty & freedom??  Humm, the US didn't care much about  that when starting all their wars in recent history

And how do you think Ukraine will pay that money back? Their land and resources will be taken as payment. But keep that war going and endebt them further

The CIA and US were involved in the coup back in 2014, these actions escalated the situation.

And there you go. I rest my case. You are incapable of any semblance of an intellectual counter argument and for some reason seem to have an addiction to connect emojis to every single thing you post.

Absolutely correct. Twice. The Orange Revolution 2004 and the one you refer to the Maiden Revolution in 2014.

Easy to call people cowards and demand they fight for freedom when you are at your keyboard and perfectly safe.  Would you go and actually fight or be prepared to see close family members go and fight and die over a bit of land in Eastern Europe?   I wouldn't be prepared to do that and would rather disputes be settled via negotiation.  Ukraine is not 100% innocent in all this and is one of the most corrupt countries in Europe.   The longer the west funds this war, the longer it goes on, the more people die and the end result will be what it always was going to be, Russia claims back a bit of Russian speaking land from Ukraine.

Couldn't agree more, glad to see some people can see the obvious 👍
