If the ICC wants Netanyahu , they will have to go and get him themselves .

Hopefully they send Khan to do the arrest himself.

Khan's decision will also be supported by anti-Hamas "mobs" who support the rule of law and want to see justice for the Palestinian people. You will not that Hamas leaders have also been indicted.

If they support the rule of Law, then Netanyahu will not be arrested , because he has diplomatic protection whilst abroad , same as Embassy staff .

Netanyahu is an evil man but nothing will happen because the zionists will protect him. God will sort him out in due course.

Hamas are the evil party in this situation , you are on the wrong side of history here .

Hostages takers are evil , those being taken hostage are not the evil ones

You are right, of course. Israel would never take hostages, right?  Never steal land, imprison thousands in the biggest prison ever? Of course not!

No, Israel hasn't taken hostages .

Who the land belongs to is debatable

And no , Gaza wasn't a prison , let alone a big prison .

Israel has the right to build wall on its border and Israel has the right to allow who its wants to cross that border

See that you have been swayed by Aljazeera which is their exact intention, get pity whereas it is Hamas who are the guilty ones.

Israel has a stark choice to make. Turn these two over or become a pariah nation for a long time to come.

And what happens to Hamas, give them a gold medal.

The ICC and for that matter the UN are completely unfit for purpose in the 21C and should be wound up and replaced by a purely humanitarian organisation, free of corruption and political shenanigans.

I'd prefer that they were replaced by a world police force to root out corruption and international criminals.

I agree. The absurdity of the ICC decision. I have been on the ground in Gaza multiple times, seen all the historic measures the IDF takes to protect civilians, the actions of Hamas to get civilians killed/harmed, the fields of aid Israel brings in and Hamas tries to stop.

Here Netanyahu is comparing his situation with the Dreyfus case in late 19th C France, which was a notorious example of antisemitism. This Netanyahu subterfuge is an example of a strategy that has been going on for around 10 years to make criticism of Israel and antisemitism synonymous. The first example in the US were attempts to suppress student speech on California state university campuses.

Not long after the IHRA definition of antisemitism became the core of an international campaign to suppress criticism of Israel, especially its treatment of Palestinians. The motives are not lost by vigilant people:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Working_definition_of_antisemitism#Criticism

Besides this Criticism section, the section "United States" has the following:

"An attempt to enshrine the definition in US federal law in 2024 encountered strong opposition, with 1,200 Jewish academics opposing the move as a dangerous conflation of criticism of Israel with antisemitism that would threaten freedom of speech.Their open letter asserted that '(c)riticism of the state of Israel, the Israeli government, policies of the Israeli government, or Zionist ideology is not — in and of itself — antisemitic."

Here is the location to find the IHRA definition:

https://holocaustremembrance.com/resources/working-definition-antisemitism

The campaign is now international:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_combating_antisemitism_envoys

Some countries where antisemitism is a serious problem started the ball rolling as early as 2004 (US) and the EU followed in 2015. The Israeli Special Envoy for Combatting Antisemitism, Michal Cotler-Wunsh, said on CNN last Sunday that there were around 35 such envoys. I thought that she meant Israeli envoys:

https://edition.cnn.com/2024/11/17/world/video/gps1117-rising-antisemitism-and-the-amsterdam-attacks

This story was built around the events in Amsterdam, where viral video was initially claimed to be locals attacking Maccabi fans, but the creators of the videos later reported that these were scenes of Maccabi fans attacking locals. NL has a far-right government which was quick to accuse their own Muslim citizens!

Why did you fail to respond to the comment I quoted? It was referencing the relevant part of his speech.

Just don't mention Khan's brother!

A judge accused of sexual harassment rushes an outrageous war crime case against Israel

And then people started to notice that Karim Khan, the British Muslim “judge” seeking to bring the arrest warrants, seemed to have got a little bit too excited a little bit too early. Over recent weeks we started to get a good idea about why.

Khan himself turned out to be at the center of a sex-pest complaint by a former colleague at the ICC. The woman in question had lodged internal complaints about his lewd behavior.

It must run in the family, because as it happens Khan’s brother was recently sent to prison in the UK for sexually assaulting a child.

Why do they waste their time with this posturing, he's never going to be arrested nor is Putin. How about arrest warrants for the leaders of Hamas, they ones not dead yet?

I never thought the ICTY would get anyone but minor thuggish foot soldiers. I was wrong. 68% of those convicted were Serbian, so the court also convicted people from the sides that had the broad support of the international community, but the split probably reflects which of the sides was responsible for the greatest number of war crimes and atrocities.dictor

Any court can issue an international arrest warrant. The precedent was set by a Spanish judge and Pinochet. The Chilean dictator's troubles didn't start with an international court, it started with a Spanish judge who understood the principle of universal jurisdiction. The United States famously states US law knows no boundaries, and criminals globally are subject to US justice. This was established from the very early days of the Republic, when the nascent country refused to payoff the Barbary Pirates, enshrined in the famous USM corps song.

In retrospect, during Pinochet's end-of-life, the UK and US governments behaved disgracefully, preferring strategic relationships over principle. The world would not have imploded if Pinochet had ended up in a prison-old peoples' home for murderous dictators. The reactions from some people indicate how politicised they want to make the courts. This started, maybe before, before that tabloid labeled  British judges an "Enemies of the People" over a question of Parliamentary procedure and Brexit. Americans are very used to judges being elected officials, which makes them, almost by definition, to be more likely to be corrupt, and more interested in seeking votes rather than the correct application of the Law.
