They're coming for your company held houses aren't they? All of them.

I thinks there are a lot more than 25,000 just look at the amount of Condos in company names it will take years to investigate and those of us who own properties will take our money elsewhere after 19 years of living here I think it’s time to consider moving on !

Not that easy, if they want to look at you.

You need to show a working company.

That's when it gets tricky.

You have a fantastic Thai Attorney. give her a pay rise. :cheesy:

Good luck. :giggle:

I'm a bit confused as to why this particular headline along with possible problems for house owners is giving you so much joy. Envy is an extremely unpleasant emotion, didn't anyone tell you that?

I'm wondering and said it would be swept under the rug, and this is really what it is all about. It has been happening far far back clubs gogos using this method but it really came to light last year when when the big Triad was busted running clubs that are behind the Big C on second road.

On investigation he had married, the daughter of a high official?  obtain citizenship from it, his organization stretched to 32 provinces of the 72 in Thailand if not more. Digging they realized the investor or nominees were the very rich the more they dug the bigger the names came up then the normal it was all of a sudden shut down!  Many IO, in Pattaya and Bangkok got reassigned investigation found these two location handling out visa like Halloween candy.

This announcement is nothing more that letting the Thai people we on top of it, just looking for enough brooms to sweep it under the rug meantime we on top of it!😂

Idiots again.

Broadcast it all over the nation so they have plenty of time to flee, no way to run any investigation, priming the criminals with knowledge of the actions about to be taken.

Keystone cops all over again...

Not really...just the money tree will be shaken a little bit, not too much to scare the birds. There is one missing number from the article, how many handed over brown envelopes. In the end all 27000 companies would miraculously comply with the law.

'Acting on Information received'.

Is there an address where I can send the name of the Thai audit company that helped my ex-wife defraud me of my house by altering the % of shareholders without my knowledge?

Never your house, not in the land of Lies!

Apparently they investigated over 26,000 this year and if you look at the results in the original post there were very few that actually turned up a problem.

"This year's efforts saw the DBD scrutinising 26,019 juristic persons across sectors like tourism and logistics. Out of these, 498 were thoroughly investigated.

While 371 were cleared, 64 faced charges over accounting issues and 63 remain under further investigation, with four companies suspected of acting as nominees."

Certainly not a concern for those using the company route to buy houses I would think.

Silly me.  I bought & paid 100% for every brick; every stick of furniture; every plant in the garden and thought that equals ownership!  Meanwhile an ex-Prime Minister was buying and owning 100% three UK houses AND a football club!

Different laws. Surely you don't want reciprocal immigration laws?

If I want a long term visa to the US, for example, as a Thai retirees, I need to INVEST 17 million baht whereas a foreigner can retire in Thailand by just showing 800k baht in tn bank for a few months or buying an illegally acquired visa from an agent for $500.

Do you really want recipricosity?

Do you know how hard it is for a normal Thai to retire to the UK?

Rich foreigners breaking the law and being caught serves them right.

Would you laugh if say oil rich Arabians broke the law in your country and we're caught?

I did things legally, which wasn't easy to buy a house, it took me many years.

They used this rule to screw that maid on Samui out of the 100 million baht her French employer left to her.

Even worse when you pretend not to be envious. At least have the courage of your convictions and admit it.

Keep up the good work and continue to rattle the cage. In no time your economy will free fall into the abyss and the losers at the end will be those who firmly believe that Thailand belongs to the Thais.

Some Thais are just thaier than other Thais; the dinosaurs at it ensuring, that no foreign influence could enlighten the purposely poor if not non-educated electorate could shed some light of the 21st century into the 15th century den!

Amend the laws to this century, like many other countries did, to the benefit of free market operation without having an absolute incompetent dinosaur government breathing down on each and everyone's neck!

That's working out swimmingly in the West 555.  There is no such thing as a "free" market my libertarian friend.  Governments the world over pick the winners, then erect barriers to entry for everyone else, pulling up the ladder as they climb.

Thailand for the Thais, put everyone else on temporary permission to stay and keep them that way. The Thais don't need the private equity parasites buying up the land and condos.

I have a friend that works in the department of fraud and he said they just set up a special unit of over 100 people looking into the company's set up to buy property with a foreigner involved. Mostly going after home ownership only. They are predicting over 100 billion gain after completing the audit.

Of course this is just made up by me... hahaha

About like this article..
