Now watch them stop checking them and the burglars already know where they are....they're outside the peoples houses which contain something of value.

“Officers must adhere to ethical standards and refrain from actions that could undermine the integrity of our law enforcement institutions.”

The move comes amidst broader efforts to crack down on corruption within the police force and uphold the principles of transparency and accountability

That's a very big ask...

How are they going to enforce this ? 😀

Pretty sure on samui the only way you get the box outside your place is paying for it , they ain't coming to put it up and check it 1-2 times a day for free 🙈.

That red box service always seemed legit to me, pay a small fee and have the police come by to check on your place.  Why not?

Exactly that, 500baht a month for the deterrence value.

I am sure that a plague of deafness has suddenly hit the entire force and the practice will continue unabated...

What deterrent? I see them turn up at the same time to houses sign something then ride away. No house check. If was going to burgle a house I would just wait till they have gone.

The deterrent as far as I am concerned is that would be criminals know that the police are much more likely to take a crime against that premises more seriously.
