You pay them for sex. You can still get it for 1,000.Baht. If you pay for travel costs and food (which they would have to do themselves after short time), two f...s per day should get you a discount and total costs amount to s.th. like 1,600 USD. But: I bet most customers (considering their average age) do not have 60 f..s per month with the same woman. So it's a bad deal. Not to mention the other amount given in the article.

You got that right ! My Thai wife of 24 years has her own bedroom - she hasn't  touched me in donkey's years. When asked, she claims "it is because she is going through menopause" (she's 52). Our 15 y.o. daughter joked with me  "if that's true dad, her menopause has lasted 15 years, as I've never seen her kiss you even once, since I was born" ! Way back in 1994, I owned (together with a Thai) a very successful bar in the Chiang Mai night-bazaar. I still recall the most prophetic graffiti I've ever seen, written above the male urinal at the rear of the night-bazaar. It read "never marry - stay happy" .......

You must have contemplated getting out of the relationship.......is it the fact you have daughter that stops you?

 

I taught for 25+ years and started every lesson with the same message on the board....."never get married, never have kids, never have pets".

 

I'm on the verge of jumping ship......even though my wife is close to perfect and I live free in her house, I miss BKK.....Isaan is killing me.

1 - Always stick to a one-hour time limit on all rentals. 
2 - Always follow rule number one.

Why, did you pay your wife to stay with you ? Western women usually have their own income these days. All my family ladies have good careers. And have kids. When you have a good relationship you can share the bills, mortgages etc. If and when it goes south in some couples, then you work it out. Everyone gets their share. That’s what lawyers are for before marrying.

Most men in Thailand would prefer a rental wife . I don’t know many happy mixité marriages in Thailand ( 40 yrs of  experience), most men get very bored fast. I  only know one couple who have a great marriage but they are both doctors. Education plays a big difference.

Some things must be true for a Nikah mut'ah:

• The bride must not be married to anyone else at the time
• If she has never been married, her legal guardian must agree
• She must be a Muslim, or among the People of the Book (which means Christians, Jews, and Muslims, mostly)
• After the contract ends, she must not have sex with anyone for some time. This is usually three months. This is so people will know that the father of any children she has if she becomes pregnant was her husband.
