If this is for real, absolutely not. No one should enable another person to mutilate themselves.

Offer to pay for a psychologist if have enough spare cash.

I can just imagine in 5 years time when she doesn't feel any better she blames the OP for making her situation worse.

What happens if the op is a failure or makes her look deformed?

Man up, say no and if she complains too much walk.

My wife muttered about getting plastic b**bs but I never encouraged her and certainly never paid. She didn't get them.

There’s also a potential relationship aspect. She says that it’s only for her, and that it's her body, not for me or anyone else,

That's the OP's out on this. If she isn't doing it for him, she should pay for them herself.

And last but not least, if she absolutely insists on doing it, then make sure she does it in a reputable clinic and not one of those incompetent unlicensed butcher shops.

If she pays that's on her. I'm just saying the OP should have nothing to do with a wannabe bimbo.

I assume this is a windup, but were it me, I would ask here how much it costs?

When she says $5,000, just say: "I'll give you the $5,000. If you want to  send it on boobs, go ahead, or you can just put do what you like with it.

Not sure there are many 30+yos with the natural ability to grow bigger ones.

You must like them a lot younger than me!

Unless they put on weight. For some women body fat goes to the breasts. Also, birth control pills make them hold water and grow bigger as well.

Ok. I did.

Breast implants have become a ubiquitous symbol of beauty and self-improvement, yet the potential risks associated with them suggest that their allure may be misleading. A growing body of evidence indicates that silicone breast implants (SBIs) can lead to serious health issues, including Breast Implant Illness (BII), which encompasses a range of debilitating symptoms such as chronic fatigue and cognitive dysfunction. These symptoms often persist long after the initial surgery, raising ethical concerns about prioritizing aesthetic enhancement over women's long-term health.

Complications such as implant rupture and capsular contracture are common, but more alarming is the potential association between SBIs and autoimmune diseases. Although the causal links remain contentious, studies indicate higher incidences of conditions like scleroderma among women with these implants. This suggests that many women may unwittingly trade their health for temporary physical enhancements. The emotional toll of living with BII or experiencing complications from breast implants cannot be understated. Many women report dissatisfaction and regret following their surgeries when faced with unexpected health challenges.

The decision to undergo such procedures should involve comprehensive discussions about these risks rather than superficial considerations of beauty standards. Ultimately, it is crucial for individuals to weigh the potential dangers against societal pressures to conform to an idealized image—highlighting the folly inherent in prioritizing breast augmentation at the expense of overall well-being.

I have put as much thought into this response as the lead did in posing the question. 😁

We were sitting in the newsroom late one evening, and we found a breast implant on the science correspondents desk. Being the fun loving guys we are, we started chucking it across the newsroom at each other. When I caught it, the thing completely burst, the impact was less than walking into a door, or a seat belt in a minor accident.

You'd have to be bonkers to have that put inside you!
