Is Accident Insurance a Requirement in Thailand
UOB has a savings account called V-Care that pays a decent rate of interest (easy access). As a bonus, account holders are provided with accident insurance to the value of 20x the balance in the account. My wife and I have an either/or account with a 1 million baht balance, that gives us accident insurance to the value of 20 mill. each (or 70% of that amount, because I'm over 70) -

Thailand Visa Exemption (60 days) and Visa On Arrival (VOA) (15 days)
Hmmm, that's interesting, I agree that I've heard that different embassies have different requirements. Which makes you wonder if shifting to an e-visa would lead to a change in the requirements. I just checked and it appears that in the region, Cambodia and Malaysia are countries that allow you to apply for e-visa. I'd have to sign up for a profile in order to start to check the requirements. -

Thailand aims to become education hub with global universities
I would take a Thai university over a UK/USA university any-day. You don't get all the woke nonsense from the teachers and students in Thai universities. There are no protests outside the universities (Palestine is a good example), no rainbow flags flying high, no 100 genders BS, the students just get on with their studies. A quarter the cost for the uni fees. Safer campuses, unlikely to be shot or stabbed. Accommodation cheaper and better. Its great for foreign students, many attend already. Look at Chula and Mahidol for example. Many of the better Thai universities are twinned with European universities already. The actual syllabus's are the same, its all down to the students. The international schools in Thailand are fantastic, so are many of the universities. -

Why Do Ex-Bar Girls Remain in Pattaya?
Agreed. Same w/ any of the thousands of low-level employees w/ no family ties in Pattaya. Most work for a time, then leave. They don't necessarily go back to villages. They may join a business started by a family member in BKK or nearby towns, such a Chonburi or Rayong. And a much smaller proportion stay, for various reasons. You don't have to have tattoos to stay long-term in Pattaya. -

Whistleblower Alleges Normalized Anti-Semitism at the BBC
Confirmation, not that it was really needed, that you are an antisemitic racist; of course, apologists for terrorism like yourself don’t think antisemitism is racism … but it most certainly is.
