Canada is Petrified
Either I'm very lucky, or just a better shopper. Not sure. I usually don't buy the cheapest version, though do seem to find the best price for same items. Need to careful, as plenty of fakes out there. Why I only buy from flagship stores on LAZ. May cost 20-100% more, but the tells you they aren't fakes. People buy stuff for silly prices, yea, they are going to be crap, as impossible to make quality at such low prices. Using a bit of uncommon common sense. Our BEVs; SAIC/MG, DECO, DIY ebike, all whole or part from CN, and excellent. First battery I bought for ebike was silly cheap, and as expected, didn't last, though longer than I thought. Next battery, rated less, though 2X the size & price, going strong and takes me further. NO surprise there. All my drones, DIY or RTF (ready to fly) have be excellent, with a couple exceptions. Again price point = no surprise. Half my camera gear from CN, including my most expensive lens ($2k USD), and freakin' amazing. Most other products I have are assembled or made wholly in TH, and standing the test of time. I'm an Electrolux fan, more expensive, but other brand product died, so not a CC when shopping for many things. You do get what you pay for, most times, in and from most countries. The whole point of the tariffs is to jack up the imported prices, to force the manufacturers to return to the USA, and manufacture in the USA. Create job, force innovations. When I lived in USA, 24+ years ago, I bought many things, clothes especially, as Eddie Bauer fan, a Seattle company. Don't know who owns them now. Cars were made in USA, though brands from JP in the later years, but made in USA. All way before CN became the manufacturing hub of American countries. Even the USA cars are made in CN & MX, why Trump didn't like NAFTA, that Clinton signed, which saw jobs leaving the USA. Till USA starts manufacturing again, things will probably be a bit more expensive, for those not supporting MADE IN USA products already. Not American made, USA MADE. -

Israel’s Disinformation Campaign Against UNRWA
By the way ... Israel has the right to defend itself when attacked . Of course . - OK, you start well. But when has Israel been attacked ? - October the 7th, and many other times in the past. The Hamas terrorists who attacked the festival goers and the kibbuzim wanted to do their hateful acts to hurt and kill some Israelis , because they hate all Israelis . - The Hamas terrorists whose manifesto includes the destruction of Israel and its citizens. A genocidal manifesto. That was never meant to be an attack on the state of Israel itself . - Seriously?! An armed intrusion into a sovereign country is not an attack on that country? Israel " defended " itself by committing a genocide ... you can turn it many times , but it is still that . - The ICC has accused Israel of committing genocide but the actions of Israel did not meet the legal definition of genocide. So , Israels ' right to defend itself ' did not , never , imply the use of lethal force on a whole population . - Israel has even advised the population of Gaza of when and where they will attack; it is Hamas that keeps them in harm's way as human shields. As I said before , Israels goal is territorial expansion , and all means are considered good enough to reach that goal . - Israel has given up land for peace and forcibly removed its settlers from Gaza many years ago. Egypt used to control Gaza and they never gave the Gazans self determination. Israel, previously called Judea (land of the Jews) was in the same area 500 years before Islam even existed. -

Opening UK bank account-non tax resident
Strictly speaking as a non-UK resident for tax you should not declare you are in order to open a new account but that is really only down to how you feel about it. Personally if you need one I would open with someone other than Barclays if only to make sure you have another UK account if Barclays decided to debank you as @NanLaew mentioned. I doubt another bank will learn or care as long as nothing else changes. -

Add to that, "Respect is earned, not given". It's something I have been teaching my daughter as much as possible.
