Rouble up whopping 1.5%

LOL. The Rubble is still down a whopping 9.8% year over year to the US Dollar, while the Central Bank of the Russian Federation (Центральный банк Российской Федерации) key rate is set at a mind blowing 21%.

For your reference, the Federal Reserve's interest rate is between 4.50% and 4.75%, the ECB's rate is 3.25%, the Thai central bank's rate is 2.25%, and the key rate of the Central Bank of Kenya is set at 11.25%.

But don't worry, Ivan, there are central banks that are doing an even job better than the Russian central bank's one: Iran's key rate is 23%, the overnight lending rate of the Egyptian Central Bank is 28.25%, the key rate of the Argentine Central Bank is 32%, while the reference of the Venezuelan Central Bank is 59.23%.

With a bit of luck, your country will beat them all in the race to raise the lending rate by the end of next year.

But sorry, I assumed you understand the implications of a high interest rate for the economy. Only now I realized that you, poor Ivan, have no idea of what a rate is.

I forgot that the Marxist economics taught in Soviet Union completely ignored this issue.

You are so right. I wonder why so many are “concerned” about the situation in Ukraine, Xinjiang, Taiwan etc when it has literally zero impact on their lives, instead of worrying about the degradation of their home countries. I support Russia in their pushback against western hegemony but it doesn’t bother me either way whether it will be successful or not. I just find it a shame that so much money and lives are lost for so little reason.

You support russia invading a sovereign country ?

Push back?

I think it is the other way around, why do you think more and more countries are willing to join NATO?

Russia just got their asses kicked in Syria, what good did they do there?

Georgia is now going to get rid of the russian influence also and they are going to join NATO also, why?

Yes russias economy is doomed.

Over 40% of GDP next year reserved for the army, help?of North Korean soldiers.

Interest 23%,no more proper education,no maintenance in the cities.

Three million smart Russian fled the country when this all started, who is left to do all the work?

Farmers are running out of imported parts for machinery, they are using chips out of stolen washing machines to help the missile industry.

More and more airplanes are grounded, some have fallen out of the sky.

The list goes on and on ,if you would just be willing to see beyond the russian propaganda you could easily see it.(willing is the key word here.)

The oil and gas industry is doing really bad!Just look at the performance of Gazprom.

Trump was wearing blue and yellow at the meeting in France, coincidence?

Be careful what you wish for.  They'll all be moving to Thailand.

You have your opinion and others have theirs. What I do know is that it’s the west vs the rest. I don’t see the global majority scrambling to support Ukraine. Why do you think that is?

US has been interferring in Ukraine for years, they organised the coup against the Democraticly elected president because he was pro Russia, Putin clearly stated there were lines not to be crossed, US cancer of the planet  ignored him.

"The results were 141 Member States in favour and seven against - Belarus, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Eritrea, Mali, Nicaragua, Russia and Syria. Among the 32 abstentions were China, India and Pakistan.

By the terms of the 11-paragraph resolution, the Assembly reiterated its demand that Russia “immediately, completely and unconditionally withdraw all of its military forces from the territory of Ukraine and called for a cessation of hostilities”.

How does that grant Russia the right to invade Ukraine? Was Assad democratically elected as well? Kim Jong Un? Do you see the pattern here?

I would think the anti Americans of this forum would take a more reserved approach after trump got elected. At least for the next four years, there will be nothing but losses for you
