I guess since you want to kill the tree, you cant chop it down because it is protected?

The person asking for help in this situation seems to be the one causing the problem. Killing trees simply because they attract birds is not only environmentally destructive, but it's also unlikely to solve the underlying issue.

Birds are an important part of the ecosystem and play a crucial role in pollinating plants, controlling insect populations, and maintaining the overall health of the environment. Additionally, the presence of birds can be a sign of a healthy ecosystem, and their songs and chirping can be a source of joy and beauty for many people.

Rather than killing the trees, the person could consider other options for addressing their concerns, such as using bird deterrents, planting different types of trees that may be less attractive to birds, or simply learning to appreciate the presence of birds in their environment.

Ultimately, the approach of simply killing trees to solve a perceived problem is not only harmful to the environment but also reflects a lack of understanding of the complex interconnection of ecosystems and the value of biodiversity.

At least , he chose the name that fits him best .

A hill tribe gardner used a chain saw to remove a tree that had sprung up in a bad location and was damaging a wall and the banks of the klong. After he took it down to a stump, he cut an X in the top of the stump and poured in a bag of salt......the stump is perishing at a rapid rate.

I would suggest to anyone who is looking to buy a certain chemical but can't find that brand. e.g tordon which is very effective for killing trees. All you need to do is find the chemical name ( triclopyr picloram aminopyralid ) and once you know that search for tree killers and read the label of all the chemicals and look for a similar brand to tordon has  the same ingredient. Quite often the other brands are cheaper than tordon but are exactly the same.

I don't think it's a quick death, whatever chemical you use. Months maybe. You'll be taking out a home for a lot of unseen fauna too. What species of tree is it? Have you thought about cutting it back? Or having it cut back?

Diesel or Caustic Soda is also very effective.

First the tree needs to be removed, severed at the stump. For best results, immediately apply undiluted (picloram พิคลอแรม) 2-4-d/tordon on the cambium around the edge of the stump.

A dead standing tree is hazardous and should be removed.

The farmers around here cut the trees at base, needles, burn the base and leaves it to die for years before they pull them down. Illegal of course, even it is their land, farm land por bor tor 5

Since he wants to kill the tree, he knows the tree is protected, and what he do is Illegal.

How lovely, my neighbours tree attracks the chirping birds. At times they prune the tree, birds disappear until tree regrows.

I'm sure you'll be sad once the birds depart.

With any luck, if he kills the trees, they'll now hang out on or above is vehicle 😎

I had a problem with tree stumps that had not been properly removed under a house I bought and were sprouting up around the foundations..   I used TORDON as the only recommended way to remove these and penetrate the offending roots/ stump .

Essential to follow the instructions .   So far seems to have worked !!!

I obtained Tordon from either Laxada or Shopee  ( forget which )

As said, that's what they eventually do after years of first killing the tree. It is a process, long process

Quite one of the most unpleasant and bewildering posts ever (assuming that it's not just a wind-up). If you don't like birds and you don't like trees why are you living in the country ? I suggest you leave the tree and the birds well alone, and move yourself to the middle of the nearest town or city.
