No I just checked - Full Name - after House name

Now, I am intrigued. I wish I could see this, the name of a foreigner who is not a permanent resident in a blue house registration book after the house name. Sensational! Hold on to this, it may have a high collector's value.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place

If a company owns the land, you obviously don't own it

I control the company - It doesn't matter anyway - al I stated was my name is in the blue book .

Is the name of the company your full name with jamgat at the end? @churchill

Yes, my name is not in my house blue book.

Immigration only want to see that you have in your possession, they accept it as proof of residency.

Try it, I've been using it for decades.

I use  the house blue book plus a copy of my marriage cert. Seems to work. No good if you're single though.

Do you have a Thai driver’s license? That works for me. I also bring a copy of my AIS bill, but they never take that. I’m sure it’s different at all locations. Good luck

Are you serious?

How on earth does the bank know where you live NOW ?

How does anyone know? Embassy, Immigration, DLT, bank - none of them have followed me home to check.

Apart from us owning the house since 2018 and me having held an account at that branch since 2011, I had a letter from that bank branch dated 3 November - that I received it should be a clue.

Anyhow, all sorted, didn't mean to upset you, suggest you go and have a cup of tea and a lie down.

Only twice a year - just use the 'old' method via my NZ bank they charge NZ$20.

I can transfer funds for free with my bank First Direct (HSBC) but I still get more baht if I use Wise. You can go to Wise.com and see the figures

Pattaya so it's Jomtien

Just today, I used my blue bourse book there: no problems!

But I have been seeing the same people there for over 10 years now,

so maybe they just do not worry any more about alll the details??

Chonburi, Pattaya, yes Jomtien

I've been using my blue house book for ages, back when Pattaya immigration were located soi 8 Beach Road.

Good grief! You're that old? I recall that location too.

I am not, but this isn't a contest.

I never had immigration business at their Beach Road Soi 8 location, but I recall an American friend of mine going there in the early 1980's

Does anyone know what year they relocated to their current location in Jomtien Soi 5? I didn't need their services until about twelve years ago.

Around September 2006.  I found a Pattaya Mail news story saying there was a Buddhist opening ceremony on Friday September 7th of that year.

I also remember then be in Soi 8, when you could extend a 30 day tourist visa indefinitely, lol.

My first retirement visa was 16 years ago, and that was done in Jomtien

Thanks for that. I left Thailand early 1990 and didn't come back until around 2005/6.

Not sure when immigration relocated from soi 8 Beach Road to Jomtien soi 5.

I do remember visiting the soi 8 office early 2000's.
