My wifey lost her job
Is the Op not a Canadian Citizen ??? - IF not, what nationality / citizenship do you 'imagine' he holds ??? As a Canadian, the Ops Wife can obtain PR while outside of Canada (under Outland Sponsorship') and can receive her PR card in Canada, it would usually take 2-3 months and she would have to remain there. As you pointed out the Op said his Wife was there for 2 weeks (Op - reconfirm ?). Travel is permitted without a PR card with the issuance of Permanent Resident Travel Document (while awaiting for the card to be delivered to a Canadian address). Thus: Its not impossible for the Ops wife to be in the situation she is and holding a PR card having only been in Canada for a short period of time. Could the Op be trolling - possible... but the info he's posted is not impossible. -

Introduction to Personal Income Tax in Thailand
No I don't but I can dig around. First and foremost, an offshore bank is located physically offshore, which means it operates in a different tax regime, case in point UK vs IOM and CI. Thailand doesn't have any offshore locales that enjoy a different tax regime to that onshore. It used to be that in Thailand there was two kinds of bank accounts, resident and non-resident. When I first moved here over 20 years ago, HSBC suggested I open a non-resident account because of the tax implications and the ease of moving funds in and out of the country. That distinction of non-resident account is as close as you can get here to having an offshore account except it's onshore, but with different tax treatment. The following link is dated but explains the concepts and approach here. https://www.juslaws.com/articles/money-transfer-regulations-tax-and-fees -

Thai Taxi Driver Assaulted by Foreigner in Pattaya, Seeks Justice
iIt's not really about Weed/Alcohol . It's about the police not doing anything ( again ) I would say the taxi driver is worried that the foreigner will fly home before he gets his compensation and or hospital bill paid. -

Myanmar to release Thai fishermen, fostering regional peace
Thai fishermen are poor they have no money or influence therefore the Thai Government don't really give a toss just lip service. Though when they get the submarine they can use it to tow their Aircraft Carrier to the disputed waters. That will make those pesky Myanmarian Juntanees poop themselves. -

Who lives on 20k a month ?
20,000. Not much of a life man. 40-50 is ok. It don't make much deference where you live, if your accommodation is already sorted. it's what you do that takes the money. You will need a small motor bike, and don't listen to the fairies on here about bikes.
