Norwegian Tourist Assaulted by Ride-Hailing Driver in Phuket
Picture courtesy of Matichon. A Norwegian tourist has filed a police report after being assaulted by a driver from a popular ride-hailing app in Phuket. The incident occurred early on December 30, leaving the victim with many injuries. Ms. Thanatphon Khongcharoen, 44, escorted her friend, Mr. Egil Christian Andresen, 57, to Karon Police Station to report the attack. According to Mr. Andresen, he was struck with a sign by the driver following a disagreement over the destination. The altercation began around 05:05, when Mr. Andresen booked a ride to his accommodation near Patak Soi 1, approximately one kilometre from the pick-up point in front of a jewellery store. However, the driver allegedly questioned whether he wanted to go to Phuket International Airport instead. Confused and frustrated, Mr. Andresen requested to get out of the vehicle. As he exited, the driver retrieved a sign from nearby and struck Mr. Andresen multiple times. The tourist sustained injuries, including cuts and bruises to his left temple, ear, face, and elbows. Mr. Andresen sought medical treatment and has provided police with evidence, including CCTV footage, to support his claim. Recounting the event, Mr. Andresen expressed his disbelief: “I have been a taxi driver in Norway for over 30 years and have never encountered or caused harm to any passenger. In my country, such behaviour would result in lifetime revocation of a driver’s public transport licence.” Mr. Andresen added that he had visited Phuket several times and had always enjoyed the peaceful surroundings of Karon and the island’s natural beauty. Despite the incident, he remains hopeful that justice will be served. Police are investigating the matter and are working to identify and apprehend the suspect. The case has sparked concerns about passenger safety and the conduct of ride-hailing service drivers in the region. -- 2025-01-01 -

Israeli military loosened rules of engagement at start of Gaza war
An investigation from the NYT..... While Israel admits it changed its rules of war in the immediate aftermath of the unprecedented attack by Hamas, Israel's 700-word statement that its forces have “consistently been employing means and methods that adhere to the rules of law.” The changes were made in the context of a conflict that is “unprecedented and hardly comparable to other theaters of hostilities worldwide,” the statement added, citing the scale of Hamas’s attack; efforts by militants to hide among civilians in Gaza; and Hamas’s extensive tunnel network. In addition there are no named sources to this so called investigation although they do name as a witness to the event with a claimed toll of 20 civilians as: Oh wait, here is named source, a senior terrorists brother. Shaldan al-Najjar, a senior commander in a militia allied with Hamas that joined the Oct. 7 attacks, were among the first casualties of Israel’s loosened standards. When it targeted him in this war, it killed not just him but also 20 members of his extended family, including a 2-month-old baby, according to his brother Suleiman, who lived in the home that was hit and witnessed the immediate aftermath. Some relatives were blown from the building. His niece’s severed hand was found in the rubble. “Blood was splattered all over the neighbor’s wall — as though some sheep had just been slaughtered,” the brother recalled. Really not surprised you believe him though. Some more great propaganda pieces from the NYT The Hospital Director now known as a Hamas commander and arrested last week along with dozens of Hamas terrorist's was a regular contributor. https://x.com/MarinaMedvin/status/1873098153618227263 Dozens of other bias and propaganda examples from the NYT in the links below: https://honestreporting.com/new-york-times/ -

Bangkok New Year’s Eve - 2 Hefty Western Chicks and a Ladyboy
Definitely. In his previous ladyboy thread, he seemed to have a bit of a homophobic air to him. He was also oddly obsessed with making it very clear that he wanted anyone who is attracted to ladyboys to be labelled as gay. 🤔 -
