Would you like to know who has you on IGNORE so you don't waste time responding to their posts?

End of thread?...555

Not really - I don't think it matters at all.

IF someone wants to block me (or any of us) thats their choice.

I have a couple of very nasty people blocked...  and three outright idiots who just post trollish nonsense most of the time and their posts fill up a thread, so its easier just to 'cull' the space their comments take up.

Mostly though, I don't block people, its easy enough to just ignore comments if we want, or get engaged if we want...

It's not that aspect....some people make lengthy, detailed posts, which I consider and respond to at length......I suspect it's not the dross I write that fails to elicit a response, but the fact I'm on ignore......so I am wasting my time responding in the first place.

I can see your posts, so you are obviously not on my ignore list.

Sometimes I see long posts which I am just too lazy to read. I see reading and writing in this forum mostly as some kind of entertainment and I don't want to read lengthy replies which could have been written in a few words.

The posts and replies are obviously to read for everybody. So even if I would know that I am on the ignore list of some people, I would possibly still reply to show my point to the rest of the members.

I don't see any reason why member's ignore lists should not be open to view.

I guess it would bring up threads like: Why don't you listen to me anymore...

Why would I care? Responding to a poster who has me on IGNORE is not wasted time, when other people read my post.

There's a standard response to that question.

I often don't read lengthy TLTR posts, like fredwiggy, it's kinda the same as people who talk too much waffle and you switch off. I doubt many if any people have put you on ignore

......Oooooo....good point, well made.....if, as all your posts are, the post is constructive and intelligently presented fine.....but if you put heart and soul into personal poison pen post you'd want to know the recipient was hurting surely?

I much prefer for the haters, the nasty, horrible members who continue to reply to my comments with unjustified anger to put me on their IGNORE LIST.

I choose to scroll past comments I disagree with or the comments that I dislike but sadly some here can't do this, they must reply with hostility.

I rarely interact with members comments, I only reply to articles and OP

I only unfurl the poison pen when i am attacked first. It usually ends in one of us hitting the IGNORE menu.

I do have confidence my posts can sting when called upon to do so. I pride myself on making my insults creative, while staying within forum rules.

Sometimes, the recipient is so thick the post goes through to the wicketkeeper.

Have you considered that anything you write will be on page 2 or 3 by next week and never seen again? Unless you like writing, or intend it for everyone, why bother writing long posts at all?

I generally don't bother with posts over 3 paragraphs anyway.

I managed to write a post without IMO. That should make you happy.
