I managed to find a good version of "Easy Rider" last night, and as it was from somewhere in my distant past, I decided to watch it, and I enjoyed it.

One thing that did stand out for me was the language of Dennis Hopper, because it was exactly the same vernacular/structure as he used later on in the film "Apocalypse Now" and I wondered if he spoke like that "offscreen"?

Anyway it was enjoyable and the ending actually got me thinking about what is happening in the US today, whereby two guys who were free and easy and "hippie like" were seen as unlikable/unwelcome which is why they met the end that they met in the movie. The rednecks and others of similar ilk were very anti-and I'm sure you can see where I'm going with this, so I won't go any further.

Up to you to see it again and see if you can spot the similarity with what's happening today, that I saw.

I'm enjoying the well reviewed comedy series The Studio.

Renewed for a second season.

I don't know if it would be as enjoyable to people to who aren't interested in and already know about the business of making movies.

The use of celebrity movie biz cameos is really delicious and I'm talking BIG celebrities.

This one was awesome. Loved the finish.

Watched the movie "Oldboy" with Josh Brolin and Sharlto Copley, not the original Korean movie, but the one by Spike Jones and although some reports favour the Korean original, I wasn't prepared to put up with subtitles, so settled for this one and enjoyed it.

It eventually revealed a completely unexpected reason for what happened to the Oldboy (no spoilers here) and completely unexpected finale.

If you haven't seen it, then it's worth a look IMO.

Out today, The Waterfront looks like it might be interesting. 8 episodes should be everywhere shortly.

For decades, the Buckley family has ruled Havenport, North Carolina, dominating everything from the local fishing industry to the town's restaurant scene. But their fishing empire has started to crumble as patriarch Harlan Buckley recovers from two heart attacks, and his wife Belle and son Cane venture into the deep end to keep the family businesses afloat. As their attempts spiral out of control and into treacherous waters, Harlan steps back in to take command. Facing her own demons, Buckley daughter Bree — an addict in recovery who's lost custody of her son — finds herself entangled in a complicated relationship that could threaten the family's future forever. The series is inspired by true events.

Tried to find it but TPB seems to have stopped working for me.  Anyone give me a new favourite address?

As is my wont these days, searching through all movies that I can't remember anything about, I came across, "Bonnie and Clyde" with Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway and downloaded it and watched it last night, and it was enjoyable viewing as it must have been back then (whenever that was) when I first saw it!

Leon the Professional, Goldfinger, Elf, Alien Vs Predator, The Intouchables, The Valachi Papers.

Your post just reminded me that Sean Connery, just before he died, stated that the two movies in which he appeared and liked most were, "The Untouchables" and "The Name of the Rose", and I watched the Untouchables a short while ago, so I downloaded and watched, "The Name of the Rose" and pleased that I did.

PS. Leon is also on my list to watch shortly!

It's another really good movie, The Intouchables, |French with subtitles. I watched The Untouchables a little while back. I don't think I've ever watched The Name of the Rose. I don't have it, and have seen most of the good movies that have come along, so now that's on my list to find.

When you get very old you can re-watch stuff from a month ago and have no idea that you have seen it before.

You can also hide your own Easter Eggs and go looking for them later.

Old TV series UFO has been released again, enjoyed it in the 1970s, so I'll watch that again. Earth being invaded by aliens that want us for our body parts.

If you are looking for something top notch then check out Fargo ( both the 1996 movie and the 2014 series ).

Wonderful stories with an excellent cast !!
