I was a resident of Rayong/Ban Chang from 2000 to 2020 when I made the best decision of my time in Thailand to move to Bangkok. The Eastern forum was never the most active forum on TVF but there was an active pulse. So after celebrating the new year I thought I would revisit the site. Why is it now totally dead? For example the last restaurant post is 2 years old.

Chiang Mai was a very busy forum in the past now only a few posts from the same few sources and the occasional resurrected posts so perhaps it's a tend for most of the local forums?

SInce covid the overall forum activity has declined. I am a Ban Chang member and I used to read the forum daily and comment often. Now I read the few topics I like weekly not daily. And this is the first posting in a long time.

 

lso the changes of the forum itself may have turned off some folks.

 

You are correct that the Eastern forum has dried up. I think plenty to cover but we all have dropped off for one reason or other

There is another brand new 7/11 up soi bar just south of Homemade Pizza and Steak place, never even seen the construction of that one, quite surreal when i saw it yesterday fully completed and open!
