Do I need an e-visa for Thailand?

Featured Replies

I'm a US citizen flying in from the Philippines tomorrow. I want to stay 59 days. I thought all I needed was my passport, but just saw something that made me think I need an e-visa. True or false? Any other docs I need, other than forward ticket, proof of hotel?

No need for e-visa. American's get 60 days visa exempt, just show your passport and boarding pass to the immigration officer

Thanks so much!

Flying from Philippines visa exempt you may need to show onward flight to airline to obtain boarding pass.

Which airline?

If issue at check in step away and either book throw away ticket or use company such as "onwardticket.com" $16

Did you choose 59 day trip as visa exempt provides 60 day stamp.

If longer stay is required you can obtain 30 day extension (1900b)
