Thailand's acceptance of all variations of genders is a breath of fresh air compared to the current position in the US.  There, attacks on non heterosexual persons is being weaponized to breed hate, fear and contempt for political ends.

There is no room for casual (or any) violence in a civilized society.

Theres  no need to attack anyone but lets  call a  spade a  spade and not a  fork nothing to do with acceptance, what next square is round?...............and "she" is a  spade

trans get a bad rep in Thailand maybe they should work on that, multiple incidents of wallet theft and jewelry theft, I myself have personal experience of such attempts over the years, I am in no way condoning the actions of this foreigner but there is already a reputation that stains the trans community that needs addressed

There is no such thing as the trans community.

I just say no if a ladyboy offer their service.I smile and walk away.Never had problems about this.

In the news seriously? It is not April yet. A ladyboy gets verbal abuse and does nothing as well as having her other ladyboy friends near and they all do nothing? The foreigner initiated it with the first blow after she follows him to the toilet?

Methinks something in this story got twisted around. I do hope they find the foreigner to get their side of it. Because this enactment is too unbelievable.

Why show an unrelated photo of Soi 6 which has almost no transgenders?

The attack happened on Beach Rd apparently far down south from where Soi 6 is.

There are ladyboys on Soi 6, not as many as there used to be, but still more than I would like there to be. One went for my crotch, and, when I brushed away his/her / its hand just before the hand reached its target, the individual complained : " Why you touch me"

The Pattaya katoeys are huge and aggressive.

Why do the biggest of Thai males find they are in the wrong body?

You rarely see a small one. 🤔

Then you have never been to Pattaya.

That is what was great about Stringfellows (not Goldfingers as I wrote before!) on soi 13.  Some amazing looking very slim and sexy creatures to be found - and not shy.  I don't think it's there any more though. 😒

Ladyboys is the term to use in Thailand.

Please do not disrespect the ladyboys of Thailand by misgendering them as transgender.

Actually, it Kateoy.

Where ever the photo is from the 1 in black bikini with or without tackle certainly looks dubious to me

A 27-year-old transgender woman has filed a police report after a foreign man allegedly insulted, mocked, and punched her to the ground before fleeing on a motorbike. The incident occurred at Pattaya Beach, where many tourists were present.

The case gained attention after a popular social media page issued a warning and shared images and video footage of the attack. The victim, known as "A" (a pseudonym), stated that the confrontation began when the foreigner approached her on the beach, making derogatory remarks and mocking her in front of tourists. Feeling humiliated, she confronted the man and asked him to leave.

Despite the initial encounter, the foreigner returned and attempted unsuccessfully to pay nearby transgender individuals to assault A. After he walked away towards a nearby public toilet, she followed, demanding an apology and intending to report him to the police. Instead, the foreigner allegedly punched her, causing injuries, and left on a motorcycle while laughing.

Following the attack, A gathered CCTV evidence and witness testimonies to report the incident to Pattaya City Police. She remarked that the man's actions were disrespectful to Thai people and showed a disregard for the country's laws, which might encourage other foreigners to act similarly with impunity.

A also revealed that friends in her circle had faced similar incidents involving foreigners but were too afraid to report them. She is determined to stand up for the dignity of Thai people and emphasised that unchecked behaviour like this can harm Thailand’s image and impact the safety of both locals and tourists.

She urged the police to swiftly apprehend the suspect according to the law and advised both tourists and locals enjoying nightlife to remain vigilant, as not all visitors have good intentions, reported Channel 7.

He/She went looking for trouble and found it.

Of course there is more to the story. Paying another Trannie to bring harm to the 'victim' must have been preceded by something else.

Maybe not Bob Scott's fault, but the sub-editor's idea of an attention-grabbing headline!

Lately AseanNow looks like it is only focussing on the "bad" farangs and all the fuzz they are creating. It feels like the hubble telescope is zoomed in on them. I wonder why they still want to expand the tourism industry with all that negativity about their visitors.

I stopped reading more and more these kind of articles as it does not contribute anything to the positive view i like to keep about Thailand and their citizens.

Guess you're not offended by having your privates grabbed by them then either ?

By "them", I mean those aggressive individuals who attempt to block your passage (so to speak)

Lock him up!

I've discussed this at length on the Thai language sub forum.

The official RG transliteration is wrong but they won't change.

That's why there are many foreigners that can't be understood by Thais when they say they want to go to "Kalasin" instead of Galasin -  Khon Kaen instead of Khon Gaen, Hwa Hin instead of Hua Heen. Chatuchak instead of Jatujak, Kanchanburi not Ganchanaburi.

Pranburi instead of Branburi etc etc.
