it has .... they will cook one time and clean ...  you think they will cook fresh  ?    you are dumb

I would like to know where 7-11 gets their chicken breasts.

It's not tough.

Also, how do they cook it, I wonder.

Do they import it, already partially cooked, for example?

Yes.

And, like REVENGE, this appears to be a dish that is best served cold....maybe.

The packaging states:  Best Serve Chilled.  Not sure what this means, actually.

Actually, if you really want to know....

We here in China use:

image.png.5d9c58f7d4e4e370926715a37118fc8b.png

But...PLEASE do not get this TaiBaiFen mixed up with 钛白粉, which is Titanium Dioxide....!!!!!

I have been cooking Chinese food for decades.

My meat is always tender, when I get the proper cuts of chicken, pork, and sometimes beef.

Someday, I will solve the mystery behind the MYSTERY MEAT that I recently  purchased here...which is as tough as nails.

Never had this kind of experience with chicken breast before.

Maybe I will need to import Chicken Breast meat from Taiwan, or something.

Sometimes I see on the fresh market sushi without any cooling, and it is shown there for many hours.

I guess if you put enough chemicals into it then people won't die because of salmonella.

Actually,  it is frequently not hot from cooking, but from being in the hot sun.

Yes,  it can sit out for 7 hours or more.

Similar other Thai foods at these markets sitting in tins no heat or cold for several hours.  Add, warm raw meats sitting out for possible days no refrigeration. A little fan above it and a lady with a paper in hand to swat the filthy flies off.

A harborer of sickness.  Bacteria, stale taste, diarrhea and vomiting.  No health department here with lack of proper food sustainability.  Probably a reason this place is seeing a big rise in sickness and stomach diseases.  Terrible.

it's amazing how a few spoon fulls of starch & msg can holdoff salmonella, Escherichia coli and other bacteria for hours  .... I guess the tourists can't taste it in the street food after beers.

Indeed I don't want to mention names but what's that about? There's one vendor in a supermarket that has hot lights and is exposed to the outside heat. The product looks horrible at the end of the day. But somehow they seem to sell most of what they have.

The place in the market in which I eat, cooks smaller portions regularly. So nothing is sitting around for hours. Of course it pays to be discerning about what you eat.

After a very long time here I rarely eat any of that stuff.

This is what your link led me to:

In fact, we in China use TaiBaiFen, potato starch, when marinating meat, and this helps keep the stir-fried meat tender and moist.

So, just telling it like it is.

You can take my word for it, or not.

UPS to you.

Chicken (and pork) is safest when cooked and chilled if not eaten soon after cooking. Worse is when it is  kept just "warm" for hours which encourages such as salmonella if present.

Did you?

I think where one lives does not matter that much.

The most important thing is to stay healthy by consuming good quality meat which has been kept at optimal temperatures in order to minimize foodborne illness.

Foodborne illness is no laughing matter, especially for older and very young consumers.

I trust the vendors that make a living selling to locals. If they poison them they will soon be out of business. They usually only cook  what they expect to sell. I don't trust those that sell at travelling markets or temporary locations.

I'm very sorry to hear that Will,  we have to be careful where we eat,  but even that isn't fool proof.

I generally only eat at the same 2-3 places, mostly franchises because they have to maintain certain standards.    I ate at Tesco once ...  green curry chicken, same as you ... ill for 4 days, never again.

Likewise, sorry to hear that.

It was late at night for me, hungry, had had a few light refreshments...... rough time. ......Seven litres of water intravenous, plus intravenous antibiotics.......bit more careful now....555
