Do you have any idea the difficulty in repatriating a body. All the while the body has to be stored. Its not an over night process.

As someone from a family with a history of heart issues, I've looked into diving as a possible retirement pastime ('keep out of the pub' activity...)

From what I read, this young lad had just completed a FREEDIVING course, which is not scuba.

 

Anyone can die, at any time, including

- young healthy people 

- people who recently had the Covid vaccine

- people who upset Koh Tao locals

- people who get electrocuted by dodgy wiring

- scuba divers of any age, even after a safe dive

- people who don't follow AN forum rules

- people who disagree with some AN members🙃

Here we go, the absolutely  clueless bringing up tenuous links. 2 people from Brum die 23+ years apart and its suspicious. I personally knew Neil, he was a smoker and a drinker, none of his friends on Tao and family think his death remotely suspicious.

Ian Jacobs fell in an open well 23yrs ago, highly likely to have been under the influence of alcohol, his family have since been hounded by a certain few people who have been stirring <deleted> and bringing up old wounds in order to push their death island BS narrative. Thankfully its limited to those gullibe enough to believe pure fantasy, as is clarified by a few members here

How could you possibly know that? Diving is, by and large, a very relaxing activity. Someone could be diving for years with an undiagnosed heart problem.

 

If Robby's death was related to diving, the problem would manifest during or shortly after the dive, (I've known of one such case in Cyprus) not hours afterwards.

Not to mention E38k seems a bit pricey for flying a small box of ashes back to the UK/Ireland, 25 quid should be enough for DHL.

Sadly, I was a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer and a BSAC Open Water Instructor.

(Plus RYA powerboat level 2 license to skipper the RIBs)

And I never found diving relaxing, mainly stress and effort from trying not to let people in my care die.

Not to mention carrying weights and cylinders around, then towing exhausted n00bs back to the boat, etc.

He succumbed  to heart failure whilst locked in his room on his own and he was watching something on his phone , holding the phone with one hand .

Your experience, which I'm not questioning, still does not mean that someone with an undiagnosed heart problem would have problems on their 1st dive, which is what you claimed.
