Thai Minister Asserts No Plans to Deport Uyghurs to China Amid Govt Pressure
Since when does the Thai government actually make plans and implement them? Seems so much is by seat of the pants decisions and then try to mop up mess later. Prime example was legalizing pot.... they seem incapable of seeing to the end of the drive way, let alone down the road -

Girls in Sri Racha
Indeed. I'm not voting for those bar girls. False eyebrows, straight noses and plucked under-arm hair. It's not just superficial beauty, where the farm girls win either. Just watching a young girl coaxing a buffalo to go left, whenthe beast wants to go right, is simply breathtaking. There are attuned to nature, and although some are partial to a dog dinner, we must keep in mind, that everything returns to mother earth eventually. -

Wise vs Revolut - This is what I've found out
I tried to use Wise some years ago. made 3 attempts, but only one payment got through. Haven't used since and cannot use because my phone number changed. I use my UK fee free Credit card. use to pay some bills e.g. super market shop, and get cash out at a Thai bank counter. Only 'fee' is the Mastercard currency conversion rate, which is pretty comparable to Wise when you add their rate and fee together. Only drawback is need to payoff cash withdrawals quickly to minimise interest costs. Never had any problem. -

Today's experience trying to obtain my tax refund
The end result being that my tax return comprised of only the interest earned and the tax deducted, thus meaning I will receive a 100% tax refund. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thank you for your post. Is the Interest you mentioned here means the interest from Thai bank account(Term Deposit)? And can I understand that the 15% withholding tax applied previously , will eventually come back to you, as that amount is less than the Taxable Amount? I am not a pensioner, but felt the whole of your experience very interesting. Thank you again for your input.
