If they want to work, then they will find work.

If they say they want work (or other work than they do now) that means nothing.

Er ....   normally if someone is looking to get a new job they don't dictate the start date.

She should have told me ....  I'm looking new job but I cannot start for 2 months.

Its quite usually to have to give some notice when leaving a job .

Usually have to give 6 weeks notice when leaving a job and new job positions usually start some time in the future .

You cant expect people to begin a new job on the next Monday , they need to time to give some notice to their current job

I agree ... to a certain extent ... but sometimes we know farang with new restaurant that they don't know.

she should have told me I cannot start now before I did all the messaging & texting ... and getting an interview.

How would that look in the west   ?      pathetic ... imo

Triple the salary.

She will come.

She will come immediately, and...

Without all the foreplay.

I guess you are long enough here to know that many Thais say whatever they think the other person wants to hear.

Maybe she was complaining that she has no money and then you suggested she should get a job. And then she said yes, she wants a job but can't find a job or something like that.

Over the time I met enough Thais who were perfectly able to find a job. And I met enough Thais who were wining that they didn't have a job, and then they had excuses when anybody made any suggestions.

Sorry, just forget about it. She does not want a job.

I don't care ..... I stand by what I said ....    you don't discuss a new job in a restaurant and arrange an interview and then say oh '   I can't start for 2 months ....

if the 2 months is normal for giving notice then she doesn't need to even mention that as it's normal and the new job boss will know that.

It seems you approach this with logic.

Sorry to remind you, we are in Thailand...

If they say they want work (or other work than they do now) that means nothing.

If they say they want work, it's the same as the folks sitting at the expressway offramp with a sign stating "will work for food."

Offer them work, and suddenly they have so many appointments.

They want the paycheck without the manual labor middleman.

She doesn't want the job being offered. So she is delaying instead of rejecting your kindness and causing you to lose face.

2 months from now she would have another excuse why she's not ready or she will say she found another job already. Forget it, cut your loses and move on.

If correct   :

The strangest people I have ever met.

Cannot arrange anything or confirm anything.
