snoop1130 Posted Friday at 10:30 AM Posted Friday at 10:30 AM File photo for reference only Pattaya is gearing up to host around 5,400 US Navy personnel from 27th to 31st January. As these sailors take a respite from their training exercises, local authorities, with the help of Chon Buri police, are implementing robust safety and traffic strategies. Four US Navy ships will dock under the supervision of Sattahip and Laem Chabang police stations. Police Lieutenant General Yingyos Thepchamnong, Commissioner of Region 2 Police, alongside Luu Pham from the US Embassy, has finalised strategies to ensure safety and smooth operations for the influx. The collaborative plan involves additional officers patrolling, quick response units, and special operations teams dedicated to maintaining order. An online portal provides a directory of officers, ensuring quick aid if needed. Yingyos has urged local residents to work with police and report concerns via the 191 hotline. This effort not only underscores the respected US-Thailand relationship but also presents a chance for Pattaya’s businesses to thrive with the incoming international visitors. The US Navy's visits to Pattaya, part of ongoing Indo-Pacific exercises and goodwill missions, reinforce a longstanding, cooperative bond between the two countries. -- 2025-01-24

While this is technically true, the US was supplying massive amounts of munitions and supplies long before getting involved in the war, and without the US Japan would be ruling the entire Pacific region. The Pacific battles were absolutely epic, and the extent to which the US ramped up ship production Alan's the navy after Pearl Harbor was historic, and will likely never be repeated again, by any nation ever. But you are right the Allies made tremendous sacrifices, especially the UK. 2 2 2

They are given specific orders not to go to certain areas. Soi 6 and other brothel areas have previously been on the no go list.

Pattaya57 Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago I'm in 5 star bar on the beach and a US military guy just came in and asked to see the manager. Gave her a card and said if any trouble from navy guys please call this number. I thought days of navy people getting drunk an causing problems in port was long gone due severe consequences. 1

Actually, from what I've seen. all those guys just seem to blend right in and disappear into the woodwork. They're not a major disruption. Pattaya is a large city. 1

The powers that be don't want to win. They just want the game to continue. So long as they have a war going on somewhere in the world, they're happy.

Korean war, Vietnam War was won. However the currupt Vietnam army collapsed the second the Americans left, gulf one, gulf two even Afghanistan was a win until whoever was runing America pulled out and left a disaster. Don't let your biased hatred blind you. Im not an American fan boy and have stood side by side with American soldiers and even though individually I was not impressed, their equipment and numbers are and do lead the world! 2

How were the Korean War won; a country divided and with a large military build up on both sides waiting for round 2 As for Vietnam, the North won The US power left like rats leaving a sinking ship
