  • Russia never wanted to gain territory. The aim was the de-militarisation of Ukraine and for NATO to stop expanding to Russia’s borders. Seems like they are successfully achieving this and more besides

Ukrainian forces operating advanced bomber drones used improvised incendiary bombs to attack and destroy buildings on the frontline being used by Russian units as hideouts.

According to the Ukrainian military news website Militarnyi, drone operators from the 427th ‘Rarog’ Separate Regiment of Unmanned Systems were behind the innovative attacks.

The drone operators used Vampire drones equipped with improvised incendiary bombs to burn down houses near the frontline that could be used to hide or amass Russian units.

Ukrainians have inflicted another big blow to the orcs, as the old saying goes... you can run but you can't hide, we will find you and when that happens, we will blow you up

Ukraine’s Upgraded Fiber Drones Are Deadlier At Longer Ranges

Less than eighteen months since the first prototypes appeared, drones controlled via fiber optic cable rather than radio have become a major weapon in Ukraine. Immune to jamming and able to go places where other drones cannot, fiber drones are almost impossible to stop.

I talked to Oleksiy Zhulinskiy, CEO Ukraine’s 3DTech about their work in this field, the challenges of flying fiber drones, Chinese sabotage, and the future. The Russians may have a head start in numbers, but 3DTech is ramping up production of superior designs.

The first Russian fiber FPVs appeared in early 2024. Many were skeptical whether fiber optic cables were strong enough for battlefield conditions. Ukrainian drone expert Serhii Flash thought fiber drones would likely be limited to very short ranges. But when they turned out to be effective weapons, the Ukrainians set about learning from their enemies.

Russia has confirmed Vladimir Putin is to lose his only aircraft carrier vessel in huge humiliation for the dictator.

The Kremlin is reportedly so cash-strapped and hit by sanctions to foot the astronomical £3.2billion cost to repair what is left of the fire-damaged, 58,000-ton Admiral Kuznetsov.

Head of state-controlled VTB Bank, Andrei Kostin, said: “We believe that there is no point in repairing it. It is already over 40 years old, and it is an extremely expensive item. I think the issue will be resolved in the sense that it will either be sold or disposed of.”

Elon Musk 'ordered his Starlink satellites in Ukraine to be shut down' as defenders launched attack on Putin troops

Elon Musk allegedly ordered Starlink to cut internet services in parts of Ukraine as its troops mounted a crucial counteroffensive just months after the Russian invasion began.

Musk gave an order that led to a communications blackout, causing the attack to fail, as Ukrainian troops attempted to regain Kherson in September 2022, according to Reuters, who spoke with three people familiar with the command.

The order severely diminished Kyiv's trust in Starlink, the satellite internet service Musk provided early in the war to help Ukraine's military maintain connection in the battlefield.

Staff at the American tech firm are said to have deactivated at least 100 Starlink terminals after receiving instructions from the billionaire, who told a senior engineer at California offices of SpaceX, the Musk venture that controls Starlink, to cut coverage.

As of July 27, the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated the settlement of Kindrativka in the Sumy region, according to Lieutenant Colonel Yaroslav Chepurnyi, spokesperson for the Kursk Operational Command.

Chepurnyi explained that the operation was conducted by units of the Kursk troop group in coordination with the senior commander's forces.

On July 26, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukrainian Defense Forces disrupted a Russian military plan in the Sumy region and pushed the enemy back in the area.

Russia was forced to downsize its celebration parades honouring the navy on Sunday amid security threats from continuing Ukrainian drone attacks, Kremlin officials said.

Annual parades of Russian warships to mark the Navy Day were cancelled in St Petersburg, in the Kaliningrad region on the Baltic and in the far-eastern port of Vladivostok.

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov confirmed the cancellation of the parades and said it was “linked to the overall situation, security reasons, which are above all else”.

Shocking Poll Exposes Putin’s Draft Dilemma: Most Russians Refuse to Fight

A new survey reveals a striking contradiction in Russian public opinion: most citizens, especially young people, have no interest in becoming soldiers, yet they don’t oppose the war in Ukraine either.

When asked who the true “heroes of our time” are, most Russians preferred everyday contributors to society over frontline soldiers.

Among those under 25, nearly all respondents (99%) said one can be a hero without ever picking up a weapon.

Among those under 33, only 17–20% supported the idea of volunteering for military service. Even in the 50–60 age bracket, the most eager group, only a third supported going to war.

I would put him and his ilk in the bucket marked Youtube Chancers currently filled with people like Russell Brand, Bald and Bankrupt, "Dr" John Campbell, VGG wannabes, etc, latching onto any topic they can grift from. With MacGregor, I expect its to top up a pension after he didn't get the Ambassadorship. Wasn't he the bloke who in mid 2022 said the war was all over. That aged like milk in the sun. They say he got lucky in the Gulf War, and was reckless with his troops (two versions to that story).

let's hope Trump keeps his promises and provide Ukraine with more weapons to allow Ukraine to destroy the orcs, the original deadline of 50 days has been reduced to 10-12 days, the faster the better

I do think Trump should not listen to Putin, the guy is not trustworthy, he's pathological liar, and his history  about false and unfulfilled promises says a lot about the character

interesting reading, although a little older yet still fits the actual Putin behavior

Ahead of possible talks between Trump and Putin, a history of broken promises and outright lies—on Ukraine, Syria, and even agreements with the US—shows that any deal with Putin isn’t worth the paper it’s written on.

Putin doesn't give a rats arxxxx about Trump's mumbling, he does as he pleases in clear defiance to Trump, yesterday said Putin has to make a deal within 10-12 days and Putin agreed with him by sending missiles overnight killing more innocent people, I do hope this will open Trumps' eyes and will make him give the right guns to Ukraine and let them use the guns as they please and shoot wherever they can, this should be an embarrassment to Trump and his followers

Who is Silent Crow? Pro-Ukraine hackers take down Russian airline Aeroflot

Russia’s national airline Aeroflot was forced to cancel dozens of flights on Monday after a massive cyber attack caused the company’s computer systems to fail.

A hacking group called Silent Crow claimed responsibility for the action, alongside an outfit known as Cyber Partisans.

“We declare the successful completion of a prolonged and large-scale operation, as a result of which the internal IT infrastructure of Aeroflot was completely compromised and destroyed,” Silent Crow wrote on Telegram. “Glory to Ukraine” Long live Belarus!”

Rotting equipment and fleeing staff: Partisans expose state of Russian military hospital in Crimea (photos)

Partisans have scouted the territory of a Russian military unit in Sevastopol. A special forces medical detachment is stationed there, which is currently experiencing a personnel crisis, the partisan movement Atesh reports.

"As of now, the unit is in decline - the territory is neglected, and the equipment is rotting under the sun. Security measures have completely failed - a daily guard unit is present on-site, but they mostly sleep or start drinking closer to the evening," Atesh claims.

According to the partisans, the Russian command likely lacks the resources to supply and staff the unit. Because of this, it is expected to be disbanded in the near future.
