Why? In general, I sit and eat or stay and eat near a table. But sometimes I walk. Why not?

  • Like ice cream? Or steak with knife and fork?

You have a pronoun problem.

This should be correct now.

"Can you please correct your English so we can understand your rants"

As it's a question, wouldn't it need a question mark at the end ?

Ohh my bad for dropping the question mark.....

Shakes come in plastic cups, shakes do not come in cans .

Can you see the difference ?

I'm sorry, I thought we were talking about the correct way of food intake and not actually eating.

When eating you shouldn't talk at all.

But there is no better time to talk about toilet issues, when we talk about those Street vendors in Thailand.

Do I really have to ask question?

Where do they actually go to toilet and clean themselves up after that?

Ever thought about this?

If you're going to criticise other people English language usage , then you'd better make sure that yours is perfect when you are being critical .

Couldn't believe it tonight , I saw a Western man using hands when putting meat  onto a hot pot .

Instead of using chopsticks, he was using his hands and fingers

Outrageous.... I saw the something similar today...  some guy was just bringing in the food to his face without cutlery and just bitting...

... The staff and other customers in the Pizza shop seemed unfazed by it though...  :giggle:

Pizza is traditionally eaten with hands and not knife and fork.

Yes, ice creams are in the category of which foods are acceptable when on the move .

But don't let the ice cream melt so it runs down your hands and drips all over the floor

Actually...  Nope !!!...   and it all depends how you were taught when growing up.

No food... no foot at all should be eaten while on the move... and that includes Ice Creams.

Buying an ice-cream and sitting on a park bench, or standing out of the way and eating it is perfectly acceptable... But.. not eating it while walking down the road.

The same goes for any other food, a packet of crisps, sandwich, etc....    drinking a can of soda, or a smoothie or shake...  Sit down and finish it, then move on... but don't consume anything by mouth while on the move - that is just poor form - In my opinion of course, but that opinion has developed from my upbringing and I pass the same on.

I know... I was 'taking'a da pieesh'.....         Nicks 'HotPot' point is a valid one, though I'd take it step further, there should be 'dedicated' utensils for handing the food one places into the hotpot, onto a grill.... and also for removing it and placing it in our bowls or on our plates.

Bring the sauce from the salad bar to your table first , don't walk over to the salad bar and dip your bread in the sauce there

your eating habits are being displayed on the internet.

Why do you say that?

Agreed..  many foot types are food 'are' finger food, Pizza, Burger, sandwiches, onigri, Sausage roll, pasties... etc...     none are designed to be eaten with cutlery... but then again - nether should be eaten while on the move... as the topic states, 'sit down and eat your food'...

... No food, no food whatsoever should be eaten while 'walking around'.... or in cars for that matter, unless you are stopped, the tail-gate is open and you are kind of 'having a picnic'...

(though we sometimes have drive through KFC or Burger king and eat that in the car, but thats to avoid the chavs).

As far as 'dipping bread in the sauce at sizzler... What kind of animal a) eats at Sizzler and b) goes over to the sauce counter and dips his food....   (completely agree with the comment below).

: Its rude to eat food whilst walking around in public . Sit down and eat your food on a chair next to a table . No one wants to see you walking around with your mouth open emptying food down your gullet , Sit down and eat it at a designated location

If it would be only that.😳.

Eating with open mouth is indeed disgusting, not only in public. It's mannerless:

Food will fall down, others will step on it. Fatty fingers will touch immaculate clothes and cleaned there.

Paper or plastic thrown into the streets and pavements.

🤢
