Pattaya Bars Empty Amid Low Season and Shifting Tourism Trends
There are just too many bars, a massive oversupply of beer bars. If you want to lose money, open a beer bar. -

Musk targets Social Security with blatant misinformation
Your benefits are much greater than the sum of your contributions. That other guy over there pays much more, but his benefits are capped, so it's nothing but a cash grab. What is the basis for exempting earnings over a certain limit? That would be the limiting of benefits over a certain limit. Drop the cap on contributions should be followed by dropping the cap on benefits. You want to have that other guys' cake and you and the illegals can eat it, too. -

Just received a Tax form in the post - what next ?
Thank you, but there is a question on the "remitted to Thailand" as I remember there was some article that credit card transactions are also considered part of it. So if someone used foreign credit card / ATM card for withdrawals of cash in Thailand, I kind of understand (but if you then asked your bank for statement, that would not be in THB but local currency of the bank - also how would they separate between withdrawals in Thailand vs other countries, say someone withdrew cash in Singapore or Malaysia?). And of course what actually gets included in transactions. I someone from say US or UK or whatever used their country's credit card to pay for Starbucks - is that included? If he/she did that at Starbucks in international area of the airport (or withdraw cash there - beyond immigration) - is that still included? I have tried and failed to find such information. But "samut wah" this was included - how was someone going to provide documentation for all the lodging, shopping and dining as transactions to Thailand? It seems completely impractical. -

How early in advance I can apply for a re-entry permit?
A single-entry permit is around 1200b, multiple-entry around twice that. Unless you are CERTAIN you will only need the permit one time before your visa expires I strongly advise you get the multi, and when and if you renew your visa get a multi at the same time. And as to the advice you get here (including mine) I very much advise you to ask your local Immigration office - at the end of the day what they say is what matters.
