He cannot have worked in the UK long enough to get one given his timescale.

He would have paid NI  therefore entitled to a pension no matter how small

  • I reckon if you stay for over 20 years undetected you should be given permanent residency and maybe a new Honda wave and a small 2 bedroom house in Sakhon Nakhon for such an achievement .

If the 90Day and TM30 reporting systems are effective how did this happen?   All the more proof if it were ever needed that they should both be scrapped.

I do not need to google BS.

Thai immigration do not provide flights home for those on overstay like you claim.

What?  VE entries do not have a 90-day report requirement!

oh yes you're right I stand corrected. Maybe it was flagged in their computer for 25 years this guy overstayed his 30 days and simply didn't know where to find him because his passport was never registered doing rentals. Seems unlikely though so I wonder how he got away for so long.

The court will then issue a court order to deport. Once you have a tentative date of repatriation, you or your representative will have to arrange to get a ticket to leave Thailand and return to your country. You will also need to settle the fee for your transportation to the airport.

The TM30  thing was not enforced until 2020... That be why his passport never registered to rentals.

That's right I never registered one and then one day around then I got hit with a fine of 2000 baht or something.

WHAT the ACTUAL EFF?!? How is someone like this NOT flagged?!?

One of my colleagues in 2005 in a very small town was on a 14 year overstay. And there was an English man who used to help his SO convey her wares to the local market weekly who was living in one of the outlying villages who'd overstayed for longer than 20 years.

The only way longterm overstayers are apprehended is if they're snitched on.

State benefits cannot be paid to non-UK residents.  State pension is not a benefit,

Not true, state pensions can be paid to UK pensioners who leave the country and live long-term in other countries, the annual triple lock rise will not be applied though so the pension amount is frozen.

How you know that he gets no pension? Do you know him? Are you his partner?? I didn't know that.

You get a state pension in the UK when you are 66, how old is this guy I wonder?

Someone said he is 60.

I assume very unlikely in this case but UK overseas workers can make voluntary contributions to obtain a UK state pension.

Even if he has not paid a penny he will still get a pension credit when he gets to 66 so if zero payments he will still get 11500 pounds a year at the current rate, plus he will pay reduced council tax and other bills but if that is all he gets as income then it will mean an old age life of relative poverty.

Top marks to the guy, definitely a long time to forget a visa run, full definition of low profile
