By the way the cancelled chorus show was a gay men's chorus that included some drag performance aspects, so to make this clear the maga fascists are not only erasing trans and drag, but also gay and lesbian as well.

They weren't all glittered out and looking silly like today.  This was 1975/76, and they were class female impersonators, more to the original singer attire style of a past era.

 

Pretty awesome actually, very impressive.  I knew the owners of the club, so free to venture anywhere.  Place was huge.

 

To date, one of nicest clubs I've ever been in.

As far as programming at the Kennedy center, this was recent, so there was a lot of legacy programming already set up before the maga fascist takeover. Many acts have cancelled themselves in protest of government control of artistic content.

I'm sure by next year if the center is still even running, you'll see a much more dramatically noticeable maga whitewashing, straightwashing, erasing real history, etc.
