Concerns Over Allegedly Illegal Foreign Operated Skin Clinics in Phuket

Residents in Phuket are urging local authorities to investigate claims of foreigners operating illegal skin clinics in the region, focusing particularly on the influx of Russian-run services. The heart of the matter lies in Chalong, where suspicions have grown following the discovery of Russian-language advertisements promoting Botox services.

These adverts, which have been heavily circulated online, have raised alarms among locals worried about both the legality and safety of these operations. The lack of regulatory oversight in such clinics poses potential health risks to clients, who might unknowingly receive treatments that do not meet Thailand's stringent medical standards.

Community members are calling for a thorough inquiry by relevant agencies, including Phuket Immigration, the Phuket Provincial Public Health Office, and Chalong Police. They suspect that some foreign nationals may be residing in Thailand without proper visas, contravening immigration laws whilst conducting unauthorised medical work.

This development throws a spotlight on the broader issue of illegal employment and unlicensed medical practices in tourist-heavy areas like Phuket, emphasising the need for strict regulation and enforcement. Authorities are being urged to act swiftly to ensure public safety and uphold the integrity of local healthcare services.

This situation serves as a reminder to both residents and visitors to be cautious and opt for certified medical establishments, thereby reducing risks associated with unregulated treatments. As the investigation progresses, the community remains on high alert, waiting for officials to address these pressing concerns, reported The Phuket Express.

Well, I hope for those who were treated there, that there was a genuine specialized Doctor of dermatology present.

Anyway out with them.

Docs are required during the war in Ukraine.

Are they illegal?

Imo all those Botox clinics should be closed.

Looking forward to something to prove your assertions.

There is an abundance of history of unqualified staff and owner arrests, plus shop closures operating without the proper licences, that is enough proof..

Go search yourself.
