Marco Rubio Demands Apology from Zelensky After Heated Oval Office Clash

They is no way Zelensky should apologize to Trump, the cards were stacked against him ,as English is not his first language he normally has an interpreter ,I thought he did well just to understand what was going on , and  hold his corner then as has been said ,what was Vance doing ,in times past the VP was seen and not heard ,it was two against one ,Zelensky did well .

The icings on the cake which sums Trump up when he said, "This will look good on TV", more than one reporter on the BBC said the talks where stagged managed, the jury is out on that but knowing trump it could well have been.

Tomorow Zelensky meet Stamar for a European submit that should be more civilized.

Putin will have his feet up watching it all and smiling.

What do you pro-Ukraine war guys really want? Are we going to fight a proxy war for decades or is time for full scale war with Russia? Ukraine can't win on their own so it's time to escalate if you want to continue.

However this went down really doesn't matter but for me it's a good thing this is unraveling before it gets even worse than it already is.

Someone sees it clearly, exactly, with all the aid in the world Ukraine is still losing the war.

The only option the west had to win the war is to go all in, boots on the ground, but it is rightly terrified of unleashing a nuclear war with Russia, so it's not doing that.

So if the West can't escalate, it has only one option. Knock some sense into the made little dictator Zelensky and get his people to tire of him and replace him.

Ukraine is doomed with Zelensky.

Ill-informed nonsense.

Zelensky has frequently given thanks to America for the military aid Ukraine has received, he started the ‘news conference’ by thanking America and the American people.

Apart from a complete lack of knowledge in those matters you also don’t seem to know what ‘jumped the shark’ means.

But please do continue to embarrass yourself.

That's the great thing about fools. They don't know when they just screwed themselves.

I'm not pro Russia or pro Ukraine but Zelensky just lost the war. He just doesn't know it yet. Like when the Dems chose DEI Harris.

His little temper tantrum in front of the cameras will have massive implications. Just like Pelosi's tantrums with Biden that resulted in DEI Harris.

You guys lost again so bad and you don't even know it yet.

It's beautiful to watch. The fact it took so long just makes it even sweeter.

It's about time someone stood up to Zelenlsky.

Billions of dollars given to them by US taxpayers and he still acts entitled. He should be extremely grateful but he still asks for more. Like a spoilt child complaing he got a 5 series BMW when he wants the 7.

Insulting the people who have protected his country thus far.

He jumped the shark.

At least he's a multi millionaire now. He will be fine.

Interesting that you recognize Putin as a strong leader though.

He's at serious risk for assignation now when this is over. He wrecked the country and got thousands of people killed. Western governments and media are to blame too for fueling this.

What's amazing is that it was a mere 6 months after America abruptly pulled out of Afghanistan and people still went for another needless war overseas. Flags on their social media and front lawn, the whole 9 yards.

Trump demonstrated his absolute support for Putin and undermined the Western alliance that has maintained peace in Europe since the end of WW2.

And you think it’s about ‘You guys lost again’.

As expected.

Do you have to be a Trump supporter to take a view?

It depends on your viewpoint.  If you agree with how Zelensky acted, then you're a normal, rational person making an observation.  If you think that Trump was the one who acted correctly, then you're a MAGA, Trump supporting, fascist whose opinion doesn't matter because you're not actually taking a reasoned viewpoint.

It's kind of a "heads I win, tails you lose" with these leftist nutjobs.

The problem is that Zelensky acts like he has some bargaining power, when really he owes everything to the other countries who are supporting him.

Or it could be that you are writing the same lunacy that we see from certain quarters here every day.

It's a shame that you are unable to see the possibility of them all being wrong by losing their tempers. You have to make it a Left or Right wing thing. Now THAT is NUTS. But I sure you feel quite normal.

No, that a 'problem' that you just created in your mind.

The fact is that Trump is extorting him. Obviously that's okay with you. Such nice people we find here on this forum.

Obviously Trump losing it on the world stage is completely normal behaviour to you and Zelenskky not rolling over to let Trump tickle his belly is the height of insolence 🙂

To a certain extent you have a point. However, please keep in mind the  human loss that Ukraine has sustained. Ukrainians have  eroded the Russian military strength and died and westerners have benefited from a weakened Russia. Russia's economy is seriously damaged, there has not been investment in its human capital or infrastructure  for almost a decade. The USA has gained from that.

Bullying Zelenskyy and trying to humiliate him in public, or anyone for that matter never ends well.

I don't think he was referring to the kid. Is Musk wearing a suit? Does he not know that it is impolite to wear a hat indoors?

These people are just uncouth savages. JD Vance looks and acts like a hillbilly. Money obviously doesn't buy class in their cases.

I'm sure Trump has gold plated toilet roll holders at Mar-a-Lago. Look at the state of JD Vance during the meeting. He just looked like a fat slob in a suit.

I don't see what point you are trying to make?

No he does not.

Trump and his attack dog Vance put on a performance attacking the leader of a sovereign nation precisely because he Zelensky has no bargaining power.

Contrast that with Macron owning Trump.

On both occasions Trump was called out for his blatant lies, he took it from Macron, he attacked the guy who’s desperate for help.

Utterly disgusting and cowardly behavior.

Decades of hard won trust in America as a global partner pished away in seconds.

Exactly. Zelensky should not appetize, he owes nothing to anyone, and he should sever all ties with the Trump Administration and just get back to prosecuting the war to save Ukraine.

Interesting that the EU hive mind on X have all posted the same:

Your dignity honors the bravery of the Ukrainian people.

Be strong, be brave, be fearless.
You are never alone, dear President @ZelenskyyUa.

We will continue working with you for a just and lasting peace.

— Ursula von der Leyen (@vonderleyen)

— Roberta Metsola (@EP_President)

— António Costa (@eucopresident)

— Valdis Dombrovskis (@VDombrovskis)

— Manfred Weber (@ManfredWeber)

It's as if they all got their talking points and marching orders from the same source.  Like the MSM when they called Vance "weird".  And their current "constitutional crisis".  Not an original thought between them.

Help to do what?  Continue fighting an un-winnable war?  For what?  For how long?  How many is enough dead for you?  Another million?  2 million?  More?

Trump wants peace.  Zelenski wants the US/NATO to join in as they cannot win.  If they did then its WW3 and thankfully some common sense has returned to the White house so that is not going to happen.

Soon a few boundaries will be redrawn on a map and the world will collectively shrug its shoulders as the adults (not Zelensky high on his Columbian marching powder) negotiate a peace deal to save more pointless loss of life and money.
