The drone attack on Moscow was good timing > Russia unlikely to agree > Russia looks like the bad boy… but we already knew that.

My God, he did it. Trump is going to make peace in Ukraine. They said he wouldn't be able to do it. And look at him. He did it!

Russia will make peace, because they also know they cannot fight this war forever. And they already got most of what they wanted anyway.

Trump is an idiot, as is his bit_h Vance.  If Russia really wanted to end the war it could have just retreated back to where it came from instead of trespassing.

If Russia stopped and got the hell of Ukraine's land the was would have ended immediately.

Do you know the meaning of common sense  ?

To get Ukraine to negotiate was the hardest part. Russia is not irrational like Ukraine, Russia knows they cannot fight this war forever and they will make peace.

Once the peace agreement is signed Donald Trump should get all the credit, it would have been HIS efforts in FORCING UKraine to make peace that will have secured the peace.

What a fantastic outcome for the world. What a man to be a charge. They said he would not be able to do it. Look at him doing it.

What a magnificient negotiator Trump is.

Oh don't worry, Putin will show up. He wants peace more than Zelensky.

Trump did it. There will be peace in Ukraine.

And it is all down to one man, that made it happen: Donald Trump.

Thank you Mr Trump. Thank you for making the world a safer place. Thank you for avoiding WWIII. Thank you for saving the lives of women and children and men.

For the last 3 years US & EU been getting Ukriane in more and more debt, with eyes on its resources as repayment.

It was unwinnable for the Ukraine and they were given false hope, West do not care about Ukraine or the people, if you weren't such a sheep you would see this..bleat all you want, the war is coming to an end and Russia won. Youre a fool to have believed otherwise

All political leaders are murderers. You think Zelensky is not a murderer? He is a murderer. So was Obama. They all are.

This is why Trump fighting so hard to make peace is such wonderous outcome and stroke of luck for the world.

Sad to see peace triggering the usual suspects.

On behalf of all forumers, thank you Trump for negotiating a ceasefire. Those cheering on more war and death have, unfortunately, been brainwashed and are not acting rationally. Good luck making a permanent deal. We all support your efforts whether we understand what is going on or not.

Ukraine has signaled its willingness to accept a U.S.-proposed 30-day ceasefire with Russia

Ukraine has signaled its willingness to accept a U.S.-proposed 30-day ceasefire rest, recuperation, and rearming period with Russia.

Russia stated its position last year and reiterated it numerous times since:  Ukrainian troops leave Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia then talks can begin. If the US/Ukraine refuse that condition, Russia will continue it's war of attrition and will continue moving toward the Dnieper River.  The US is insisting the winner (Russia) who holds the winning hand and most of the chips has to fold their hand and push half the chips on the table back to the loser (Ukraine).  It's not going to happen.  Ukraine refuses to fold and leave the table, and the house (US/UK/EU) keeps providing credit in the form of more money and chips to the loser as the UK/EU pick-pockets the winner and steals chips off the table to supply the loser.

Since March 12th 2025 Russia's conditions have been clear: territorial concessions (Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia), neutrality and NATO Exclusion, demilitarization, de-Nazification, and cession of Western support - and now as well - elections in Ukraine as Russia will not sign agreements with Zelensky.
There is nothing new here. Neutral Geo-political analysts understand this.  My guess is that Ukraine will continue to reject those conditions, Trump and company will double-down with threats and begin sending large sums of money and equipment to Ukraine, and Russia will continue the march of the meat-grinder until they make it to the Dnieper River.

Personally, I fully expect this to escalate unless Trump pulls the plug on funding and equipping Ukraine.  It depends on which side of his ego he wishes to feed:  The President Who Ended The War In Ukraine and Receives The Nobel Peace Prize, or The President Who Showed Those D*m Ruskies Who The Boss Really Is.  In my book it's a coin toss.  But hey, maybe I'll be surprised.

I think we need to wait to see the terms. Appeasement of the Russian aggressor will be intolerable to most - and, sadly, the only person who has the power to make Russia pay is the one who seems to be on Russia's books.

Zelensky will be kicked out and Putin and Trump will parade around like two little Napoleans as if they have jointly overcome something terrible. Let's hope that the decent countries of the world will continue to punish Russia relentlessly until Putin is in chains in the Hague.
