Russia has won.
Ukraine has lost.  By extension, because Ukraine is simply NATO's proxy, then NATO has lost.

Admit defeat, accept Russia's terms as the victor, and get on with the process of rebuilding that which didn't need to be destroyed in the first place.  And mourn the needless deaths.  This could have all ended in April 2022, but the US and NATO wanted a proxy war with Russia.  They lost.

Russia isn't going to accept a ceasefire because it is winning.  Victor's don't stop, they fight on until the loser gives up. It doesn't matter.  They all can threaten Russia with more sanctions, Russia doesn't care.  They can all collectively howl at the moon and throw temper-tantrums, it doesn't matter. Russia will continue the grind forward.  If the US and Trump really want peace - start negotiating and forget "ceasefires" until a comprehensive treaty is ready to be signed - then - declare a armistice and cease hostilities based on the signed treaty.  Until then it is going to be business as usual for the Russians, and the Russian meat-grinder will continue to grind Ukrainian and NATO steak and turn it into hamburger.  That's "facts."

Of course we keep hearing, "Putin is going to invade Europe."
At the present rate of the forward momentum of its military, Russia should reach Paris in about 20 years. The "Russia is going to invade Europe" trope is fabricated bunk which is used by EU leaders to justify the continuation of hostilities with Russia, not vice versa. But hell, keep spewing that rhetorical nonsense.  It's amusing, but not fact based. But it could lead to a nuclear war provoked by the West. Of course, when you're dying of radiation poisoning or freezing to death in a nuclear winter, you can pat yourself on the back and rail on that Russia Caused The End Of the World.  At that point facts won't matter. Oh - and you're "leaders" will be deep underground in bunkers laughing at you and the rest of the commoners dying on the surface.  You know - surface scum. 

 

Unfortunately there may be some truth in what you say. Russia may well end up as the victor.

 

However, you are completely incorrect regarding the catalyst for this war.  It has nothing to do with the US and NATO wanting a poxy war with Russia, and everything to do with Russia wanted to prevent Ukraine moving towards the West. 

 

Victor Yanukovych was elected on a platform which sought EU membership. As a first step towards this, Ukraine was to enter into an Association Agreement with the EU and legislation was passed by the Ukrainian parliament to effect this Agreement. However, Yanukovych - under pressure from Moscow - refused to sign the Agreement and, instead decided to pursue stronger economic ties with Russia. There was a public outcry over this which led to the Maiden protests and the overthrow of Yanukovych.

 

There can be no doubt that if matters had been left to run their natural course after Yanukovych's removal that Ukraine would have forged ever closer ties with the West in general, and the EU in particular. This was unacceptable to Putin and he ordered the invasion - and subsequent annexation of Crimea - on the pretext that the invading Russian forces were no more than 'peace keepers'.

 

Only one nation - Russia - and in all likelihood one person - Putin - bears responsibility for this war.

Instead of just going immediately to calling Putin names, try listening to his rationale which is rational. 2+ minute video of Putin discussing the ceasefire and his issues with the Rubio proposal.

Putin wore his army fatigues for the first time since the invasion. That is a symbolic gesture that the war that he launched will go on. We can expect the ceasefire proposal to procrastinate with no agreement by Russia for a long time. Putin will keep piling on with unreasonable demands. Trump will lose patience and interest in pursuing the peace plan. Some other powerful country will likely to step in
